Description
Matched Transmission Package. The BD Power Towmaster 4R100 Transmission and Converter Package, with a $1800 core charge included, offers a complete transmission and torque converter set engineered for high durability and enhanced performance. Designed specifically for demanding power and torque applications, this package ensures reliable operation for both towing and everyday use.
Construction and Appearance. Featuring a heavy-duty BD aluminum deep pan that increases fluid capacity by 6 quarts, the transmission is built with reinforced internal components including a rollerized geartrain, upgraded clutch packs, and a reworked front pump. The torque converter features cast aluminum stators and a stamp-forged steel front cover with furnace-brazed fins for improved heat dissipation and longevity.
Installation. Installation is moderately challenging, with an estimated completion time of approximately 7 hours. This package fits directly without the need for drilling, though the Excursion model requires the use of the factory-style transmission pan due to clearance constraints.
Warranty. The package includes a 36-month/150,000-mile parts warranty and a 12-month/24,000-mile labor warranty.
Application. This package is designed specifically for the 1999-2003 2WD 7.3L Powerstroke F-250 Super Duty. Note that it does not provide PTO provision, and the Excursion model requires the factory transmission pan to avoid interference.
