Description
Performance Upgrade. The BD Power 6R140 Transmission and Converter Package, with a $2000 core charge included, is a premium matched transmission and torque converter set designed for demanding applications. It enhances durability, clutch capacity, and line pressure, ensuring your truck can handle increased power and towing loads reliably.
Construction and Appearance. This package features a fully remanufactured transmission with increased clutch counts supported by custom patented pressure plates, a brand new valve body, and an electronic line pressure controller. The torque converter includes a dual surface clutch assembly, a machined steel reaction ring, and furnace-brazed pump and turbine fins, all built for longevity and strength.
Installation. Installation requires approximately 12 hours and a Ford scanner to update the TCM with new solenoid codes and initiate the necessary relearn process. No drilling is necessary, but proper diagnostic tools are essential for correct setup. 2WD installations require transferring the yoke adapter and rear mount bracket. Early 2011 models require a 6-bolt flexplate.
Warranty. This product includes a 36-month/150,000-mile parts warranty and 12-month/24,000-mile labor warranty, excluding race abuse.
Application. This transmission and converter package fits 2011-2016 4WD 6.7L Powerstroke F-250 Super Duty models and is compatible with both 2WD and 4WD applications.
