        Happy with these

        The running boards themselves are good, installation was not bad - about 2 hrs, even with having to go back and install some washers I missed the first time. Like others have said the written instructions are poor - where a picture is provided (like they say, worth 1000 words) it is grainy and hard to make out. I dont know why there is a 2 pc bracket to begin with on the passenger front (i guess for some other vehicle or option) but that was the only difficulty as far as the install went. Also would rec. a 10mm ratcheting wrench for the running board to bracket bolts. Bottom line is they look good, seem sturdy and well made and Im glad I bought these.

        Needs Better Instructions

        I have not installed these yet so I cannot say anything about the fit and installation. While the boards look great out of the box and all the parts/pieces appear to be there, the instructions provided might as well not exist. They appear to have been printed on a printer that was running out of toner. The print is hard to read and the photos are not legible at all. These boards, when installed on a 2014-2018 Silverado, use one two-piece bracket or the passenger side front. Without legible instructions I am a little unsure as to how this two-piece bracket installs. The video on the website only shows the passenger side install and there is no printable PDF available for the Silverado as it is for a Dodge and possibly others makes of trucks. It would be nice to have a downloadable set of instructions available.

        Running boards

        Nice running boards not too hard to install but I was missing a bracket in a couple of Clips Cruise so I had to rig it up in the meantime to make it work got a check to make sure all the parts in the box that's my only complaint but other than that great customer service and nice running boards

        The absolute best running boards I have had in 40 years ! Highest quality ! Sleek, sturdy, one piece, no gaps and easy installation. I have had so many people ask where I got them because they have never seen this design at any truck dealers.

        5 2018 LT - AllenM Installation Time: Afternoon

        They’re good!

        Perfect for what they are...which is a solid step to make access to your truck much more comfortable. They look very sharp with the full plastic tread, stainless accents, and brushed aluminum edges (which match the LT stock wheels perfectly). That front passenger side bracket takes some adjustments to level up with the others and you’ll refer to the instructions several times to figure it out. Also, don’t over tighten the t-bolts or you’ll break one like I did. Took me an hour and a half to install but I worked slow.

        Works as intended

        Pretty good and simple step. The install was completely different than the instructions, but you can manage. The product has a rubber seal that is supposed to sit against the truck, on mine it is about a half an inch away and is useless.

        4 2014 LT - LarryL Installation Time: Afternoon

        Look nice!

        These look great on my Silverado. The biggest problem with the install is the 2 piece bracket for the front passenger side support, it took around an hour just to get this bracket to be level with the other two, finally got it level after numerous tries and adjustments. No problems at all with the driver side. That is why I only gave 4 stars for fit and overall. If it were possible, I would happily pay extra for them to include all 6 standard brackets, as this hassle is not necessary for gas engine trucks, only for diesels. Total install was around 3-4 hours, but I am a perfectionist.

        Love the running boards

        I love the way these running boards look on my truck and it really helps my wife and grandkids get in my truck. I had the brackets for the driver side on in about 15 minutes and another 15 to bolt down the step. Just make sure you have a 10 mm boxed end wrench for the inside T-bolts under the boardssteps. I want to say one more time that I love running boards. Now the things that need a little work The only downfall is the instructions. They were copied from a bad original or the copier/ printer was in need of toner. On my 2017 Silverado, all the mounting brackets could be the same.

      this product says it fits double cab and crew cab. wouldnt it be short on the crew cab and / or long on the double? Where does the running board start and stop for a 2016 silvarado crew cab? product picture shows double cab

      • Once you list your Truck's information in the truck wizard, not only does it confirm fitment or not, it further specifies the part you are looking for exactly. Simply put, if you say you have a double cab, the item number will change to S101523-A, and if you say you have a crew cab, it will change to S101523-B. Alternatively, if you say you have a regular cab, it will be advertised not to fit.
