Description

The Banks Power Ram-Air Cold Air Intake with Oiled Filter is engineered to enhance the 6.6L Duramax engine’s efficiency by significantly increasing mass air flow and reducing pressure loss by 45%. This results in sharper turbo response, improved horsepower at lower RPMs, and better fuel economy by delivering cooler, denser air to the turbocharger. The system is a vital upgrade for improved engine breathing and performance without triggering check engine lights.
Construction and Appearance. Built from durable, heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene, the intake housing features a smooth, organic shape that maximizes cool air volume around the filter and maintains air density. The system includes a large, high-efficiency oiled filter with an integrated collar for smooth airflow, and an EPDM synthetic rubber elbow designed for engine movement and resistance to collapse. It connects seamlessly to the OEM hood scoop and has an additional side inlet for fresh air intake and enhanced turbo sound without drone.
