The Banks Power Sterling Axle 12-Bolt Differential Cover for 10.25/10.50-inch ring gear, Satin Black Machined finish, is a high-performance aftermarket differential cover engineered to significantly improve cooling efficiency and fluid dynamics. Its patented Ram-Air scoops actively force airflow through precisely designed heat radiation fins to reduce differential temperatures, promoting extended lubrication life, maintaining fuel economy, and reducing component wear. This cover is ideal for heavy-duty applications where optimal differential temperature control is critical.
Construction and Appearance. Manufactured from A380 aircraft-grade aluminum using a die-cast process, this differential cover offers exceptional strength and a precise fit. The CNC-machined surfaces ensure dimensional accuracy, while the satin black machined finish provides a durable, corrosion-resistant coating with an attractive high-quality look. Included hardware is made from 304 stainless steel for lasting reliability.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and typically takes about an hour. The cover is designed as a direct replacement for the factory differential cover with included mounting hardware, requiring no drilling or vehicle modifications.
Application. Specifically engineered to fit 1985 through 2024 Ford Sterling Axle 12-Bolt differentials with 10.25/10.5-inch ring gear, without rear sway bars. This differential cover does not fit any Super Duty models equipped with a rear sway bar, F-350 dual rear wheel configurations, or 2023-2025 high-output variants.
