Noah: Noah here from AmericanTrucks. And today, we're gonna take a closer look at the Raxiom Axial Series Projector Headlights with Black Housings and Clear Lenses for the 2004 to 2008 F-150. These headlights are perfect for the F-150 owner who wants a fully plug-and-play upgrade with a daytime running light design that really adds some style to your truck. Now, the main feature advertised with these headlights is the increased brightness on the road, whether in daytime or the night because of the projector lens and the light bar. There's this C-bar-shaped LED daytime running light that really grabs your attention. And then pair that with the LED projector headlights, and you've got an intense lighting combo that's sure to shine clear and far in pretty much any driving condition. Then the housings themselves are jet black for that sleek upgraded look while still retaining clear lenses for increased brightness. And lastly, there's amber reflectors and turn signal lights. Not only do these headlights look the part, but they're built to last as well. Now, as far as construction goes, we're looking at ABS plastic housings for some serious defense against moisture, heat, and any kind of debris. Then sealing everything shut, we have polycarbonate lenses for excellent impact resistance. These headlights are also DOT and SAE-compliant, making them a well-constructed and long-lasting option when shopping for headlights. In terms of price, we're looking at the $400 price point. That makes these headlights a seriously cheap option in the realm of aftermarket F-150 headlights. And in terms of bang for your buck, a set of headlights from Raxiom are just about the most cost-effective upgrade for your truck. Really, you're paying for some high-quality build materials, advanced LEDs, and a plug-and-play design that doesn't need any other parts to support LEDs. I do think these are a great option when considering an upgrade from your factory halogen setup.Installing these headlights on your F-150 will take you about two hours to do at home, and it should still be a simple job for just about anybody. We're looking at an install difficulty of one out of three wrenches. These headlights are totally plug-and-play, so no wiring is required to get them working on your truck. Speaking of install, I'm gonna hand it over to one of the guys in the shop so you can check out the install a little bit more in-depth.Man 1: The tools you'll need for this project are a 3/8 impact gun or 3/8 drive ratchet, a short extension, and a 10-millimeter socket. Hi, everyone. Today, we're installing a set of headlights on our F-150, but first, let's watch a short video on how to uninstall the stock headlights.Man 2: Guys, first step of the uninstall to get our factory headlight off is, of course, pop your hood. Then you're gonna take a 10-millimeter socket. I like to use an extension just to flip this guy over. There's one bolt here, one bolt up top, and then one tucked into this corner. Just grab your 10-millimeter and get all three of them off.All right. From here we can just pull straight back on our headlight. We've got it loose already. Pull and disconnect. Now what you wanna do is flip her over and we're gonna pinch and disconnect the harnesses from the bulb sockets. So here, just pinch and disconnect. Same here, pinch and disconnect. All right. Now we can set this guy aside.Man 1: To install our new lights, we're basically going to just reverse our uninstalled process. So, we're gonna plug in our corner lights here, our turn signal here, and our headlight harness here. So, let's go ahead and get that done. And now we can just go ahead, insert this back in to the original mounting place, install our original hardware, and tighten it down with our 10-millimeter socket. And you can repeat that process for the other side. And that wraps up our review and install of the Raxiom Axial Series Projector Headlights with the Black Housing and Clear Lens for the '04 to '08 F-150. Thanks for watching. And remember, for all things F-150, keep it right here at americantrucks.com.
