Noah: Noah from AmericanTrucks here. And we're looking at these Raxiom Axial Series OEM Style Replacement Headlights with Chrome Housings and Clear Lenses for the 2004 to 2008 F-150. If you broke a headlight or your stock ones are just looking super dingy and gross, these Raxiom OEM Replacement Headlights will be exactly what you need.Hey, things happen. If you've hit a deer, or maybe a rock-cracked headlight on the highway, you're not alone. Maybe you're just looking to give your older F-150 a facelift with some headlights that aren't yellowed, and you don't want black housings or LED jazz, then a set of OEM-style headlights are perfect for you. These guys look and perform just like the stock headlights that came out of your truck. Now, these headlights don't feature any LED bulbs or projectors. But that's not to say that you can't install a set of LED bulbs off our site into these guys for some improved lighting performance. One more thing to note is that this is a pair of headlights, not just one side. You can buy just single headlight replacements, but I always think it's a good idea to do both at the same time so that they're matching, and you don't have a weird yellow wink-looking headlight coming from one side, and a nice clear one on the other. As far as construction goes, we're looking at Chrome, ABS automotive-grade plastic that is weather-sealed out of the box. And then to close them off, we have a clear polycarbonate impact-resistant lens. They look and feel just like OEM lights, and meet all DOT and SAE standards. Now, these headlights don't have all the bells and whistles a lot of other upgraded headlights offer. And that's okay. You know, sometimes wanting a stock look can be beneficial when it comes to price. These headlights cost right around $200. For how much of a difference newer headlights make to the look of your truck, this is a great deal in my opinion.Sure, you could just buy a polishing kit and try to fix your original headlights. But when you consider that you can get new ones for maybe double the price of everything you need to polish them, and these will come out of the box all shiny and new with no elbow grease on your part, it really makes getting an upgraded set of new OEM lights a no brainer.Installing these headlights should be seriously easy for just about anyone with access to basic hand tools. We're looking at an install difficulty of one out of three wrenches. And I would count on about a two-hour install time. Now speaking of install, let's head over to the install bay and get these on our F-150.Man 1: The tools you'll need for this project are a 3/8th impact gun or a 3/8th drive ratchet, a short extension, and a 10-millimeter socket.Hi, everyone. Today we're installing a set of headlights on our F-150. But first, let's watch a short video on how to uninstall the stock headlights.Man 2: Guys, first step of the uninstall to get our factory headlight off is, of course, pop your hood, then you're gonna take a 10-millimeter socket. I like to use an extension just to flip this guy over. There's one bolt here, one bolt up top, and then one tucked into this corner. So, grab your 10-millimeter, and get all three of them off.All right, from here, we can just pull straight back on our headlight. We've got it loose already. We're gonna pull and disconnect. Now what you wanna do is flip her over. And we're gonna pinch and disconnect the harnesses from the bulb sockets. Here's pinch and disconnect. Same here, pinch and disconnect. All right, now we can set this guy aside.Man 1: Before we install our new headlight, we need to transfer our bulbs from our stock light over to the new housing first. To do that, you're just gonna reach around and twist each bulb counterclockwise like so and just pull it out. Then you can go ahead and transfer that to the new housing, and then turn it clockwise to lock it into place. And we'll do that for the other two bulbs as well. Now when you pull out your headlight bulb, you wanna make sure not to touch the bulb itself with your fingers. Because if you transfer the oils off of your hands onto the bulb, it could damage the bulb, and cause shortened life. Now we'll do the same for the side marker light. Now, we can go ahead and install our light. Now we can go ahead and plug our harnesses back into our lights, just push them in until they snap-in. And now we can go ahead and insert it back into the truck, and secure it with the original hardware. Reinstall our three bolts, then we'll tighten them down with our 10-millimeter socket. So, now you can repeat that process for the other side. And that wraps up our review and install of the Raxiom Axial Series OEM Style Replacement Headlights with the Chrome Housing and Clear Lens for the '04 to '08 F-150. Thanks for watching. And remember, for all things F-150, keep it right here at americantrucks.com.
