Description
High-Quality Carbon Fiber Hood. The Anderson Composites Type-OE Style Carbon Fiber Hood offers a lightweight yet durable replacement for the factory hood. Designed to enhance vehicle performance by reducing weight, it also adds a distinctive aesthetic to the truck’s exterior. Its inclusion of a functional hood vent improves engine cooling efficiency.
Construction and Appearance. This hood is crafted using a vacuum-infused process that integrates 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth for exceptional strength and stiffness. The carbon fiber exterior is bonded to a fiberglass skeleton for added support. It features a marine grade gel coat with UV inhibitors that protects the surface and provides a glossy, high-luster finish designed to resist environmental wear.
Installation. Installation may require minor adjustments to ensure proper fitment. The hood mounts using original equipment hardware, which is not included. Reinstallation of OE gas struts is not recommended due to excessive pressure on composite materials. Always use hood pins for safety and carefully close the hood to avoid damage.
Application. Specifically designed to fit the 2017-2020 Ford F-150 Raptor, this hood matches OE mounting points and contours for a precise fit and durability under demanding conditions.
