      Power Retractable Running Boards. The Amp Research PowerStep - Black provides automatic retractable running boards for trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs. These steps deploy when the door opens to offer a convenient step and retract when the door closes to maintain ground clearance and a streamlined vehicle appearance.

      Construction and Appearance. Made from corrosion-resistant die-cast aluminum with a military-grade black PTFE finish, these running boards combine durability with a sleek, textured black powder coat appearance. The 6-inch wide steps feature a slip-resistant surface and integrated low-profile LED courtesy lights for enhanced safety and style.

      Installation. Installation requires mounting to the vehicle's rocker panel using a vehicle-specific kit and guide. Professional installation is recommended; however, experienced DIYers can complete the process without drilling on many applications due to the plug-and-play OBDII module available for newer models.
