This cold air intake kit features a cold air dam that replaces your stock air box to block engine heat more effectively, adding a bigger intake tube to get cooler air. If you want 20% more air flow and increased horsepower and torque, get this direct-fit upgrade for your ride.
No More Computer Tuning. Tuning is not necessary when you install the Airaid Cold Air Intake System in your Silverado. This intake system has been computer-designed, dyno-tested, and tuned to boost your vehicle’s performance.
Easy Air Filter Maintenance. The SynthaFlow Oiled Filter of this intake system is manufactured from multi-layered high-flow cotton gauze and the finest synthetic materials. These catch even the tiniest dust particles for superior filtration. It is washable, reusable, and best used for driving in dusty, dry roads.
Hard-Wearing Build. The Airaid cold air intake kit features a mandrel-formed inlet tubing made from crosslink polyethylene for added durability and strength. It comes in a sleek black powder coating inside and outside for better flow and corrosion prevention.
Heavy-Duty Cold Air Dam. The panels on this cold air dam bring steady, free-flowing cooler outside air into the engine. They also protect the air filter from hot engine air by closing off the underside of the hood using blade-style weather stripping. These CAD panels are mounted in the factory air box location and use any factory cold air inlet ducts that are present.
Designed for Easy Installation. Since this Airaid Cold Air Intake System is custom-designed specifically for your 2006 Silverado, it will easily slide right in. This means you can easily install this using only simple hand tools. It takes about 30 minutes to complete the install, and no drilling, cutting or welding is required.
