Description
Aggressive Exhaust Sound. Get this AFE ATLAS 5-Inch DPF-Back Single Side Exit Exhaust System With Polished Tip for an aggressive-sounding, better-performing truck. The 5-inch dia., mandrel-bent tubing ensures a consistently smooth flow of exhaust air, resulting in a loud and aggressive roar. The enhanced airflow also delivers performance improvements, such as more horsepower and torque and lower exhaust gas temperatures.
Increases Horsepower and Torque. This exhaust system delivers up to a 29% increase in exhaust airflow, thanks to its mandrel-bent tubes. The smooth and consistent bends ensure the unobstructed flow of exhaust air and the OE-style flange creates a perfect 360-degree seal. These, in turn, reduce turbulence and increase horsepower and torque. In addition, the increased and improved airflow also helps cool down exhaust gases.
Made From High-Grade Aluminized Steel. AFE chose aluminized steel for this exhaust system to take advantage of the combined properties of aluminum and stainless steel. These include incredible toughness, high heat and corrosion resistance, and less weight. The connection points are MIG-welded to ensure their strength, while all the tubes are mandrel-bent for smooth exhaust airflow. The exhaust tip, on the other hand, is 304 stainless steel with a drain port at the bottom to remove rust and corrosion.
Polished Surface Finish. This exhaust system comes in a polished finish for a completely smooth and lustrous surface. The process also gets rid of surface contaminants that can speed up wear and tear. The exhaust tip is also polished for a head-turning shine. It has a slash-cut end and a riveted-on, laser-cut stainless steel AFE logo for a tough and stylish look.
Direct Bolt-On Installation. There’s no need for drilling or welding to install this exhaust system. However, the mid pipe needs to be cut if you have a Regular Cab or Quad Cab Short Bed model. This exhaust system uses the OE mounting points and will take about 2 hours to install.
