They're not overly aggressive for the street, which makes them a great choice for those who need performance. These units are assembled in the United States and are completely rebuildable – which allows for repairs and modifications without the need to buy new units. If you want smooth operation, strong lock-up abilities to transfer torque and an exceptionally high quality product, then this is what you're looking for.

    Heavy Duty. This Dura Grip Positraction Carrier is constructed from nodular iron and boast forged 4320 steel forged internals with 4-spring Raybestos composite clutches for dependable heavy duty performance and long life. Yukon covers this unit under their standard 1-year warranty against manufacturer's defects, which tells you they stand behind their products.

    Application. This 9.75" Yukon Gear Dura Grip Positraction Differential is designed for 1997-2018 Ford F-150 that has a 9.75 in. (12 bolt) rear. This Differential also requires use of 34 spline axles.

    Please Note. If you are unsure if your F-150 has an 8.8 in. (10 Bolt) or a 9.75 in. (12 Bolt) rear, please check with your local Ford dealer to determine what rear is in your truck.

    Technical Note. The use of high grade GL-5 Gear Oil and two bottles of Yukon Limited Slip Differential additive, part# OILADD, is recommend for long life and smooth operation. You can use synthetic oil, but it may result in aggressive or noisy operation.

      Great Product

      This rear differential works as it should and has more bite than the stock differential, which I like. Granted, the one this replaced was old (180,000 miles) and was still in the original oil. But nevertheless, it works great and has the right amount of "slip." It says that using synthetic gear oil can make for loud operation, so I used conventional GL-5 with the friction modifier as recommended. It is loud. BUT, there's a good chance that the noise is coming from the new gears I installed in the process, which are cut differently than the stock gears were. Plus, I can't see how it would be any louder than stock anyway. All in all, I would definitely recommend this to a friend.
