More Air, More Power. Engine efficiency determines driving performance. Volant's Pro5 Closed Box Cold Air Intake maximizes your engine performance by increasing airflow and volume to create more power.

Volant Air Filter Box. Manufactured from Cross-Link polyethylene, Volant designed their air filter box and intake duct to increase air volume. The Cross-Link polyethylene also helps to protect and insulate the five-layered air filter from engine heat to optimize performance.

High Performance Air Filter. The Volant Pro5 Closed Box Cold Air Intake includes a cotton gauze Pro 5 air filter. It is designed for high performance applications. The filter is also easily accessible because of the Intake Kit’s box lid design. The filter is designed to be reusable.

Simple Bolt-on Installation. Volant designed their Pro5 Closed Cold Air Intake kit to be a direct bolt-on replacement. With no special tools or extra modifications required installation can be completed in under an hour. All parts and detailed instructions are included.

1 Year Limited Warranty. To ensure the highest quality of their materials and craftsmanship, Volant backs their products with a 1 Year Limited Warranty. Some exclusions may apply, please see manufacturer's warranty for details.

CARB Exempt. This intake is 50-state legal and CARB exempt. CARB EO Number D-526-7.

I bought this cold air intake for my 2018 Silverado. It's about time to clean the filter. Is there any video or instructions on how to clean it properly? Will I need to buy another filter if I have to wait a long time for the filter to dry? If so, where can I get a spare filter?

        • You just need to get any standard recharge kit for a proper cleaning. It's a pretty straight forward process however generally any recharge kit will lend instructions along with it.

Will this work for a 2018 chevy with E assist?

How many horse power does this intake give for a 2015 5.3 v8 Also do we need the box to be install

        • Every truck is difference, so we cannot offer a number as far as horsepower gains, but this will certainly improve your performance by increasing airflow and volume to create more power. We do suggest installing it with the box, as to keep your filter clean for as long as possible, allowing for better performance.

If this is suppose to be a "cold" air intake, how does it actually pull cold air if it's designed almost identical to my Chevy's original intake?

        • This maximizes airflow and volume to product more power. By pulling in the colder air, it has more air to put through the system, producing more power. This is an upgrade to the stock intake.

            Worth the purchase

It gave me a more response on the throttle but I also bought a throttle body spacer with it. It gave me a decent amount of lower end torque. And the backfire through my straight pipe exhaust made it more aggressive. The intake was defiantly worth my time!

            Looks good, questionable parts.

Install is easy and looks good in the truck. Questionable parts. My biggest issue is the breather hoses. They just slide right on with no clamps or anything and are just thin silicone like material. I will be replacing with more robust hoses and clamps. Next is the bolts for the acrylic window. They are easy to loose. If they had some sort of C-clip to keep the bolts with the acrylic attached, it would save me lots of time fumbling or loosing the bolts down the engine bay. Performance gains, I can hear and feel a slight increases, but nothing by the seat of your pants. Probably need a tune to see and feel more results. All in all it is good, and I would recommend Volant Pro5, just be aware of a few quirks.

            Looks great

The volant intake looks great and will give your truck a nice throaty sound under load.

            My engine finally feels ALIVE

Over all I'm pleased with my purchase, the price I paid was fair for the amount of power and torque my truck has now. The cold air intake was easy to install, but with most after market bolt-ons, some things were a little harder to align and mount. The directions were well written and the pictures helped out a lot, but I wish they put the corresponding image with the step. I don't what other people online are talking about when they say that cold air intakes don't really do anything. My truck came alive, you can hear it suck in large amounts of air, and the power/torque puts me in my seat and lefts my front end up under acceleration! Even with my traction control on and in 4-wheel drive, I could easily spin the tires. I timed my truck before installing this CAI, it took 8.2 seconds to hit 60mph, now it take 6.4 seconds, that's almost 2 seconds faster. I love the full see thru smoky panel, it clearly shows the filter and looks great. They give you red, blue, and white vinyl patches to place behind the "Volant" logo to customize its looks. You could use one color, all the colors, or get your on vinyl to customize it more. Some CONS: Directions could have images with the corresponding direction step The intake box didn't reach the opening in the fire wall, so there's a 1/4" gap that will pull air from the engine compartment. I'm thinking about putting some sealant/foam around the rim Breather hoses should have clamps

            Good fit.

Very easy installation. Good rumble from under the hood. Only thing that would be nicer is if it were a little tighter. But it bolted right up to factory.

            Looks well built

Looks well built but due to not getting any mounting hardware it's just an oversized overpriced paper weight right now. Emailed and called Volant twice and operator sent me to voicemail. 3 days and still no response. Called AT and they said they would send parts but going to take 5 more business days to receive.

Easy install in the garage with your basic socket set. Sounds good idk if I notice a difference yet. Probably have to wait a few hundred miles or so. Doing exhaust in a couple days then I’ll reset my computer and see how that goes.
