This cold air intake is designed to maximize the amount of cold clean air delivered to your engine courtesy of a free-flowing design and an efficient air filter. The result is more complete fuel combustion, which in turn improves power and torque.
No ECU Re-Tuning Required. This closed box cold air intake’s combination of free-flowing design and the less restrictive air filter is responsible for improving power, and it does so without the need to re-tune your ECU. That said, re-tuning your ECU down the line can always benefit your truck, as this will optimize the performance of this air intake with your vehicle.
High Flow, High-Efficiency Oiled Air Filter. Included with this cold air intake is the high flow, high-efficiency MaxFlow 5 oiled air filter. This advanced air filter features a multi-layer cotton gauze filter media constructed with deep pleats. This design works to increase its surface area while maintaining virtually unrestricted air flow. Moreover, this air filter cleans using just mild soap and water and re-oils using an appropriate filter oil.
Heavy-Duty Build Quality. The cold air intake’s air intake tube is constructed from high-grade black polyethylene using a high-tech precision-molding process. This process produces an intake tube with a turbulence-free inner structure to maximize airflow. Additionally, its closed airbox is also molded from polyethylene and includes a clear sight window, enabling you to check the air filter more efficiently. This airbox also offers excellent heat protection for the air filter, extending its service life.
Simple Install Procedure. Installing this Volant cold air intake is a relatively simple procedure as this component installs into your truck’s factory air intake location without the need for modifications. Additionally, installation is completed using just standard hand tools.
CARB-Certified Under E.O. D-526-7. The Volant Closed Box Cold Air Intake with MaxFlow 5 Oiled Filter is CARB-certified under E.O. D-526-7, making it fully street legal.
