Justin: If you're looking for an easy and relatively affordable way to dress up and protect the rear door sills on your 2015 and newer F-150, well, then you might wanna consider a set of these officially licensed TUF-LINER sill protection pads that we're talking about here today. Now, this pair of American-made liners or pads will feature the official F-150 logo in gray, along with being a very durable bed liner style construction all for right around 30 bucks to 40 bucks for the pair. So this is a small but unique way to kill two birds with one stone, right? You're gonna add a little bit of customization to it otherwise forgotten about area, all while protecting that area at the same time. Now you guys know the deal, right? Getting in and out of your truck time and time again, loading and unloading tools, cargo, sometimes your boots can catch the door sill, leading to small dents, scratches, and dirt, which really does add up over time. And that's where these TUF-LINERS come into play. Now, these affordable little things do install over the metal portion of your rear door sill, protecting it from drops and boot slams and does so in a very cool way, thanks to the official Ford licensing and in this case, the F-150 logos. Now as you guys can see, we do have the gray logo shown here today, but you can also find a ton of other options back on the site including white, black, red, and also blue. Now also worth mentioning here guys is that, yes, these are only going to be for the rear of your crew cab F-150. You can also find a matching set for the front here on the site, which will cost you a few bucks more. Now as for materials well the best way I can describe these things is that similar to what you would feel with a spray-in bed liner material, just in regards to thickness, texture, and overall toughness. You get the sense these guys are up to the task of taking some pretty hardcore abuse. Now the backside has already been equipped with the 3M automotive-grade tape or adhesive, and that's gonna result in a very simple and very straightforward installation. Now speaking of that install, we wanna shift gears and show you just how easy it is to get these guys in place. Site is gonna correctly call this pretty soft one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, maybe 10 minutes of your time to stick everything on. Again, very easy stuff. But to give you a better idea of just how things will go down on your F-150 at home, here's an AT customer to walk you through the job now.Man: This is what came in the package, the door sill, I have a cleaner to clean the surface, and a rag. First, I'll just spray this down, make sure the surface is real clean. Trying to get off all the debris and everything from it. And then sometimes we kind of wait a second, make sure it's nice and dry. So what I normally do is clean this and then I go to the other side and clean that side, and by the time I finish the other side, this side should be...you know, make sure it's dry, and then we'll go from here. So let's go to the other side of the truck. And as you can see the same spot, we're gonna be cleaning just right under here, all right? I'm just gonna spray this right here, and then just wipe it down. And all you're doing is just removing the little bit of dirt and everything from here. So I got that side done. So we're gonna go back to the other side and we should be ready to put on the door sill. So we're gonna peel it from here on the corners. We're using this side. So very gently, you just peel this right off. All right. And as you can see it has the 3M on the back, 3M on the back, right here. Okay. All right. So first what I like to do is kind of measure to make sure we're going in the right spot. And so what we're going to do, there's a little indent right here. And so we kind of just put it right here and kind of line it up with these right here, and what I do is kind of press down so I can get a little feel on how it's going to look. And this is how it's going to look just like this once I press it down. So as you can see the area is nice and clean. So what I'm gonna do is I'm going to peel the top piece off first. Sometimes somebody uses a clip. I kind of like using my nails. So I kind of peel this off here and I went along the side. Try not to touch the sticky part. And I just move it down just a little bit. Okay. All right. So I just use my two hands, and I hold it down, kind of fold it a little bit to give me a little place where I can put my hand on it. You don't wanna put so much of your fingerprints on the back part where you're sticking it.And so what I do is come here, make sure I kind of measure it to the tee here, and just kind of press down, and kind of smooth it. You don't have to press too hard because right now I just wanna make sure we're even. So I'm just kind of lightly doing it. I just wanna make sure I have everything right. So that's what I normally do, just kind of lightly tap it down. And then from here just pull it back a little bit, a little more about halfway. All right. And now just kind of lightly tap it down. And then this right here is gonna fold it. So I start on this side, so I can leave just in case any air bubbles come out. So I start on this side. Press it down firm so that it can stick on it. So what I do is start from the top and just push down all the way down. So, by me pushing down so it can create that nice firm look. And so I keep doing it all the way down, and while I'm doing that, I'm pulling the paper out, and just pushing down. Start at the top, make sure you hit that indent, and then push down, and you just keep doing the same thing all the way over, making sure... See, sometimes there's an air bubble. So that's why we leave that space there. So we just keep pushing down, keep pushing down, then little by little you just keep moving the paper out and then push this firm down, and that is the one side. So what I'm doing now is just making sure there are no air bubbles in it, and it sticks firmly to the surface.Justin: So if you're after a simple and cool-looking way to help protect those rear sills of your 2015 and newer F-150 at home, then be sure to check out a set from TUF-LINERS right here at americantrucks.com.
