How to Install T-REX Billet Series Polished Upper Grille - Horizontal on your F-150

04-08 FORD F-150 - W/HONEYCOMB GRILLES

BILLET INSERT & OVERLAY

(Will not fit 4 Wheel Drive Trucks with bars in factory grille)

1 Billet Grille (22 Bars)

4 6-32 x 2 Machine Screws

4 6-32 Nylon Lock Nuts

4 #6 Flat Washers

4 2 Flange Brackets (2000F)

4 #8 x ¾ Phillip Screws***

4 #8 Flat Nuts***

Read and understand instructions before attempting installation

Step 1.

Open the hood and remove the oval Ford emblem from the grille. Center the billet in the opening over the honeycomb center.

Step 2.

Note the four tabs welded to the rear of the billet grille. Place a machine screw
in the two top tabs. Center the billet insert over the front of the factory grille.
From behind the grille shell; place a flange bracket and flat washer on each
screw. Now thread a nylon lock nut on each. Repeat this process on the lower
tabs with the remaining hardware. Be sure the billet is centered and tighten all
the fasteners (DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN).

Step 3.

The factory Ford emblem can be re-installed over the billet grille with the use of double-sided tape. Thank you for purchasing a T-Rex Billet Grille.

Step 1.

Open the hood and remove the grille shell from the vehicle. To prevent scratching, apply masking tape to the face of the grille.

Step 2.

Use a die grinder to cut the honeycomb center out from the center of the grille shell. File or sand the cuts smooth around the opening. Center the billet in the opening. There are four ‘L’ brackets welded the back of the billet grille. These brackets align with the inside edge of the opening. Make sure the billet is centered and mark or scribe the holes in the brackets, to the inside edge around the opening. Drill a 1/8” hole at each mark. Use the #8 screws and flat nuts to secure the billet insert to the shell.

Step 3.

The factory Ford emblem can be re-installed over the billet grille with the use of double-sided tape. Re-install the grille assembly back onto the vehicle. Thank you for purchasing a T-Rex Billet Grille. 5/15/06
