How to Install T-REX Upper Class Series Polished Small Mesh Lower Grille w/o Frame on your F-150

Step 1

Open the hood to allow access to the top of the bumper. The lower rubber splash shield below must be separated from the bumper to access from the bottom. Three plastic retainers hold the splash shield to the bumper (1). Use a screwdriver to remove the fasteners. Remove the license plate assembly at this time if desired (the license plate assembly may be retained).

Step 2

Test fit the grille in place from behind the bumper opening. Along the bottom of the bumper are some 10mm bolts (2); the brackets that secure the grille in place mount to these bolts. Remove the bolt in the center; attach one of the brackets here. Now remove the bolts on each end; attach the remaining brackets on each end (2). It may be necessary to slightly bend the brackets so they apply pressure to the mesh grille. Thank you for purchasing your T-Rex billet grille. 9/18/06
