      Construction and Appearance. This mat consists of resin-bonded silica blanketing insulation sandwiched between a highly reflective Foil Skrim Kraft (FSK) facing and a foil layer. The FSK side acts as a vapor and radiant heat barrier, while the foil side distributes penetrating heat. The combination results in a durable, flexible mat approximately half an inch thick with a metallic finish.
