The Thermo Tec Cool-It Mat; 24-Inch x 50-Foot is designed to reduce excessive heat and noise penetrating vehicle compartments such as the driver area, firewall, floorboards, doors, hoods, and transmission housings. It enhances comfort and driving experience by maintaining a quieter cabin environment and protecting against heat intrusion.

      Construction and Appearance. This mat features resin-bonded silica blanketing insulation sandwiched between a reflective Foil Skrim Kraft (FSK) facing on one side and a foil facing on the other. The FSK acts as a radiant and vapor barrier, while the foil efficiently transfers heat across its surface. The mat measures roughly one-half inch thick, providing durable, comprehensive protection suitable for automotive applications.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward, requiring trimming to fit the application area and securing with push-in fasteners or weather strip adhesive. No drilling is typically required, enabling a hassle-free and clean installation process.
