2.  Place one side of your truck on ramp or jack stands. Ensure your truck is in level and the parking break is set. Check also the rear tire of the other side of the truck for safety.

2.  If your truck does not have OEM or other bars you can skip this step. Remove the 6 8mm bolts with the 1⁄2” socket and ratchet and then remove the bar.

3. Clean the bolts to ensure that there is no dirt or mud on them.

4. Install the flat plastic washers (this is to help prevent galvanic corrosion).

5. Install the new step bar starting with the front first. You will have to bring the front of the bar to the outside then place bracket on the studs.

6. Once the front and rear brackets are in place, install 8mm flat washers and start the 8mm locking nuts.

7. Tighten one of the front nut and then the rear nut to snug up the bar. Once you are happy with the adjustment tighten all nuts. (Do not over tighten the nut as you could snap off the studs). There is no torque setting.

8. Repeat steps for passenger side step-bar.

Note that if you had OEM bars these will be about 3” lower.
