4.6L 3-Valve (See below for 5.4L)

Step 1: Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Step 2: Disconnect the breather hose from the intake tube. Loosen two clamps that secure the intake tube & remove the tube.

Step 3: Remove the bolts securing the throttle body to the intake manifold. Leaving the wiring harness connected, move the throttle body to the side.

Step 4: Using the supplied bolts, washers, and gasket, install the Spectre Power Plate. Make sure that the surface marked “11259” is facing the throttle body. Make sure that the factory O-ring is still in place and place the Power Plate onto the intake manifold. Place the gasket between the throttle body and the Power Plate and secure using the supplied bolts and washers. Use the shorter (60mm) bolts for 04-08 model years and the longer (65mm) bolts for 09 models.

Step 5: Ensure that the throttle operates freely and that the blade doesn’t make contact with the Power Plate before fully tightening the bolts. Torque the bolts to factory specifications – Do Not Over-Tighten.

Step 6: Reinstall the air intake tube. Reconnect the breather hose

Step 7: Install the C.A.R.B. exemption label near the factory emissions label.

Step 8: Reconnect the negative battery cable.

Step 9: Start the engine and let the vehicle warm up. Shut the vehicle off and recheck your installation, making sure that all bolts and hose clamps are fully tightened.

Step 8: Ensure that the throttle operates freely and that the blade doesn’t make contact with the Power Plate before fully tightening the bolts. Torque the bolts to factory specifications – Do Not Over-Tighten.

Step 9: Reinstall the factory air box onto the throttle body. Using the supplied spacers, and the original throttle body bolts (removed in Step 6), secure the air box to the intake manifold. The spacers will fit between the mounting ears on the air box and the bosses on the intake manifold. Torque the bolts to factory specifications.
