Hey, what's going on guys? Adam here with americanmuscle.com, and today, I'm bringing you a detailed review of the red smoked LED tail lights fitting all '09 to '14 F-150s. If you're the owner of an '09 to '14 F-150 and you're a fan of the factory look of your rear end but you'd like to give it a small but noticeable change to make it more aggressive while overall upgrading your lighting and visibility, then you might be interested in the red smoked LED tail light option I have here today. We all know upgrading your factory rear end to look a little bit more aggressive can be as simple as upgrading to aftermarket tail lights. With a set of these red smoked LED tail lights, you're definitely getting an overall aggressive bolder appearance while not straying too far from the OEM look. Now if you're not really interested in this style, there are other options available at americanmuscle.com including smoked, red, clear, chrome, black and black smoked, so there's definitely different preferences to fit whatever style you may have. With these, not only are you replacing your lenses but you're completely replacing your factory housing and your halogen bulbs with a new housing and overall better, more modern LED lighting system that'll shine through even the darkest of lenses, especially useful for the guys out there looking for the smoked look or any of the other smoked options I just mentioned. The red smoked option I have here today, as well as all the other options I just mentioned, will all share pretty much the same design of your overall housing structure across the board. The electronics and lighting will still stay the same, offering the same LEDs that shine through the dark housing that will last longer than your halogen bulbs as we all know the LEDs do. Speaking of the housing, you'll notice there are 2 LED banks offering 12 LEDs apiece for a total of 24, giving you maximum visibility. In between the LED banks you'll see there's the white reverse light that will utilize your white reverse light bulb out of your factory housing. The rest of the housing will offer reflectors just like your OEM stock housings would while utilizing whatever preference and style with the options you've chosen. The back of the LED lights will offer a very simple plug and play connection style that will offer a painless installation into your factory wiring harness. They also have resistors already installed in the housing so you don't have to worry about purchasing them separately to get the correct amount of power to your LED bulbs. I do want to point out in addition to the six options I've talked about today, including the red smoked I have here, there are other aftermarket LED options available on the market. With these, you can expect to be spending about $300 which is very reasonable, but for about $80 more than that you can pick up a set of name brand LED tail lights like Recon. But, I do want to say that these do feel like OEM sets that will offer a painless installation at a very reasonable price, so you're definitely getting some bang for your buck here. The installation, like I said, is a extremely straightforward, very simple installation that can get done in your driveway with just a little bit of time. The only tools you're going to need are a ratchet and an 8 millimeter socket to get the job done. With that said, you can kick things off by dropping your tailgate and removing the two 8 millimeter bolts that hold on your factory housing. Once you get those out, pull the factory tail lights out of the vehicle slowly and set them aside. Once you set your factory housing aside, you can pick up your aftermarket LED options and plug the housing connectors into the factory wiring harness in the vehicle. You're going to want to test the LED options to make sure they work properly, so flip on your lights to make sure all the LEDs are working properly before you move forward. Once you make sure all the LEDs are working properly, you can finish the plug and play installation by popping the aftermarket housings into the vehicle, reinstalling the two 8 millimeter bolts, shutting the tailgate and you're good to go. When everything is said and done you're looking at spending about 30 minutes or so on the installation for both tail lights. I definitely give this a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter making it something anybody can do with a little bit of time in the driveway. Just to wrap things up guys, if you're the owner of an '09 to '14 F-150 and you're looking to keep the factory look with adding a little bit of an aggressive look of the dark smoked lenses, you might want to check out the red smoked LED tail light options I have here today available right here at americanmuscle.com.
