This hood protector is designed to conform to the shape of the leading edge of your truck, giving this area a streamlined style accent. More significantly, this hood guard’s tenacious Dura-Flex 200 construction provides this area with exceptional protection against scratches and dings due to flying debris.

    Included LED Light Strip for Raised Front End Conspicuity. This Aeroskin LightShield also comes with an LED light strip that will fit into a recessed section right above its leading edge. This light strip is outfitted with five LED chips, producing brilliant amber light. When powered on, this light strip makes your front end more conspicuous to fellow motorists, helping improve road safety while looking good doing it.

    Tenacious Build Quality. This hood protector gets its durability from Dura-Flex 200 material, which is a specialty thermoplastic olefin. This material then undergoes an advanced injection-molding process creating a hood protector that fits your truck like a glove. What’s more, this component comes in a black colorway that matches your truck’s factory paint code.

    Hassle-Free Install Procedure. This hood protector and the included LED light strip feature a 3M automotive-grade double-sided adhesive tape backing for a hassle-free peel-and-stick installation process. You will first need to attach the light strip into the dedicated mounting area on the protector. Minimal wiring work is also necessary to connect the light strip with your truck’s electrical system. What’s more, it is recommended that you thoroughly clean and dry your hood before wiping it down with a clean rag moistened with alcohol or acetone. This is to encourage proper adhesion of the tape to your hood.

    Application. This Aeroskin LightShield Color-Match Hood Protector in Black fits all 2016 to 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 models.

    Application Notes. Please do not drive your vehicle for 24 hours, and do not wash for 72 hours after the installation of this hood protector. This is to allow the adhesive to completely set.
