The internal kinks and ridges that stand as obstacles in your stock intake are replaced by smooth, fast curves. This optimized flow is fed through K&N’s permanent filter element isolated from the hot engine compartment by the included heatshield. The results: improved throttle response, deeper engine sounds, and increased power. One K&N dyno test revealed an 11.93 BHP increase. The FIPK is covered under K&N’s million-mile limited warranty. This package is a great, lifetime investment in your truck.
Step-by-Step Installation. K&N provides all components, parts, and hardware to install the FIPK on your own. The step-by-step instructions (both printed and online) will guide you through each step. There’s even an online video detailing the installation. The FIPK was designed with stock ECM programming in mind, so no ECM reflash is necessary.
