Description

The Rust Buster Rear Shock Crossmember provides critical structural support for the rear suspension by reinforcing the frame where the spare tire mounts and shock absorbers attach. Over time, the factory crossmember can weaken or rust, affecting ride quality and stressing the vehicle's frame. This replacement restores strength and durability to maintain vehicle stability and performance.
Construction and Appearance. Constructed from robust 11 gauge steel, this crossmember is thicker than the factory original, enhancing frame reinforcement. It comes with a frame crossmember, all new shock hardware, and includes a shock mount. It ships with a protective oil coating to prevent oxidation during transit and is designed to be finished with rust converter paint for long-lasting corrosion resistance.
Installation. Welding is required for installation. Due to the need for proper alignment and secure attachment, professional skills are recommended. The crossmember is designed for a precise fit to facilitate a straightforward installation process.
