Description

The Shocker Hitch 14K Air Hitch Base Frame Assembly for 2-1/2-Inch Receiver Hitch delivers smoother, safer towing by absorbing road shocks, bumps, jerks, and tugs through its built-in air suspension system. Designed for heavy-duty towing, it improves your control over both vehicle and trailer, reducing trailer sway and increasing overall stability during travel.
Construction and Appearance. Constructed with durable materials including a 1-inch diameter 1045 carbon steel pivot bolt, the base frame features a simple rocker arm pivot design that eliminates the need for complex components like multiple airbags or shock absorbers. The assembly is finished with an impact-resistant premium red powder coat, offering a rugged texture while protecting against corrosion and wear.
Installation. Installation is straightforward, requiring no drilling. The hitch base frame slides into the receiver tube, secures with the provided 5/8-inch hitch pins and cotter clips, and allows for quick attachment of various ball mounts, facilitating a hassle-free setup.
Application. Fits full-size pickup trucks, vans, midsize pickups, and select SUVs equipped with 2-inch or 2-1/2-inch receiver hitches located under the bumper. Some adaptation may be required depending on vehicle and hitch configuration.
