      Description

      Perk-Up Your Pickup. Restore your Silverado's lost acceleration with a quick pick-me-up from Richmond Gear. This ring and pinion set features a short 4.88 ratio. It's just what your truck needs to offset the increased final drive ratio created by larger-diameter tires after a lift kit install. Give your truck a dash of performance with shorter gearing from Richmond.

      Keeps Your Truck Rolling. Richmond uses only new steel in their gears. No recycled materials threaten to sideline your ride. The steel is 8620-series and is heat-treated for extra resiliency. This gear set meets or exceeded all OEM standards.

      Installation. Install requires mechanical experience and a full set of tools. Allow two hours for installation. Richmond advises that installation requires cross-shaft pin #836-80-0272-1 (sold separately). For installation only on differentials with a 2.73 or higher carrier.

      Application. Fits 2007 through 2013 Chevrolet Silverado.

      Technical Note. Installation costs will vary, but a good rule of thumb is between $250 and $300. Be sure to work with a reliable shop that you trust for installations.
