So, RVP's fender trim that we're taking a quick look at today is gonna be a great option for my own eye through fourteen owner's out there that are looking for a more low-profile fender flare. It's gonna offer almost the same amount of protection without the risk of breaking a large one but it's still gonna give you some tough looks with that popular riveted styling. A great aspect about this trim set is that they're manufactured to work with your factory bolt holes and for that I'm gonna be giving them an easy one out of three wrenches in our difficulty meter here. And about a 30 minute job despite needing to do a little bit of drilling, but we're gonna show you how coming up soon. So why would you want to get into a set like these compared to a larger set of fender flares? Well, at the end of the day, guys, it's ultimately gonna come down to personal preference, but these are going to hug your fenders that much more closely. And which while they might not be ideal for mudding they're still gonna help protect your fender lips from small debris, dings, and scratches and anything you're going to be coming across on light trails. These are also great if you wanna accent other appearance pieces like bead-lock wheels or grills but you don't wanna add any bulk or a ton of molded plastic to the sides of your truck. The looks and functionality aside here this US designed and built kit is constructed out of a durable TPO plastic, which is going to be able to take tons of abuse off-road along with not being susceptible to UV rays so you're not going to have to worry about these cracking, fading, or coming apart over time. That premium built quality along with being manufactured right here in the US is gonna come in toward the top of the price range. You should expect to be spending about $415-$430 for the set. So switching gears to the install. Just like I had said a little bit earlier, you're looking at an easy one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter here and a thirty minute job only needing a Phillip's head, Allen wrench set, and basic socket set and then a 7/64 drill bit and drill. So, before you even get your flares onto your truck you're going to want to locate the provided button head bolts and then install them onto the flares using the provided lock nuts. After that you can take your flares up to your truck and then locate and remove the factory Phillip's head screw on the inner fender lip for the mud guard. And then make sure to set that aside because you're gonna need to use it a little bit later. After that you're gonna need to locate one of the provided short speed clips and then install it onto the front most hole in the fender lip. You can then place the flare onto your truck and then re-install the Phillip's head screw you had just removed from the mud guard. So, after that locate the truss flange Phillip's head screw and then secure the front of the flare to the small speed clip. And while keeping the flare flush against the fender take that 7/64 drill bit and then drill into the fender lip where the top three holes are located in the flares. After that locate three more of the truss flange screws and then get them into the newly drilled holes in the lip and then simply repeat process on the other side. So, moving out to the back of your truck. Start from the rear of the flare and then get an S-clip on the fender lip and then attach the fender with the screwdriver but make sure not to tighten it down at this time. Once you're done there you're gonna want to repeat the process with five more of the S-clips working your way towards the front of the fender. And once the fender is on the vehicle with all the six S-clips make any adjustments necessary you need to do so and sit that flare flush against the fender. Tighten your screws down and that's gonna do it. So, that's gonna wrap up my quick review and break-down of RVP's body armor fender trim in the textured black finish available for your 2009 through 2014 F-150. RPB Body Armor Fender Trim Review
Absolutely love the RPB body armor fender trim. It gives a very nice rough and tougher look to my F150. I like them way better than the really thick fender flares. Couldn't have asked for anything else! Love it!

Looks awesome! Beware of bolts
These snug fitting flares are an awesome addition to my 2013 F-150 Ecoboost. Reason I have it 4 stars is the bolts come loose as I tried to tighten them they would seize up before they are tight. So I had 3 bolts out of the 45 that would not tighten or loosen, they were stuck loose. I ended up using an expoxy glue to hold them in place.(never did get them tight). It worked but I would recommend the manufacturer use a different style lock nut.
