I recently installed the Headlight LED conversion bulb kit in my 2009 ford f-150 platinum. Both headlights work low beam, but when I turn on my high beams the passenger side goes out completely. Meanwhile, the driver side will go to high beam. What may be causing this?

When i cut my head and fog lights I have alot of static in my radio...when their off the radio works fine. How can I fix that issue. Yes I have y'alls LED lights...both head lights and fog lights

  • An issue with electronic interference is typically associated with an issue with the LED driver in one of your bulbs. We would recommend unplugging each bulb one at a time to isolate the issue to which bulb is creating the issue. Please contact our Customer Service Department so that we may assist you with diagnosing this and replacing the faulty bulb.

In the photos the light looks more white but in the video it looks more blue. Is the bulb more white or blue.

MatthewB

  • These bulbs a color temperature of 6000K, which fall under the white/tint of blue spectrum. So My biggest guess is the camera used in both situations just happened to bring a bit more out of one of these two sides of the spectrum, however it looks like technically both are correct.

Do these bulbs mess with fm radio reception. Most aftermarket hid and led lights seem to make your radio reception poor.

DerekJ

  • We have not received any feedback about the Raxiom Headlight LED Conversion Bulb Kit effecting reception. However, LED bulbs pull more electricity and may have an interference with the electrical source to the vehicles antenna. I would recommend upgrading the fuses or consider upgrading your battery.

    Raxiom LED Headlight Kit

I installed these in my truck and as soon as I turned them I was amazed how bright these things are. I had already switched to the silver bulbs previously which were considerably brighter than factory. These LEDs made the silver look like DRLs compared to these. Now when I come up behind someone in the passing lane they immediately move out of the way because of the brightness of these. People think I’m running with brights on when on low beam. The high beams are way brighter as they should be. These light up the road much better and definitely increased distance visibility. If you’re looking for bright as lights to enhance visibility as well as the looks of your truck then I highly recommend installing this light kit. The trick when installing is do not use the cooling vents to lock the bulbs in. They have the twisting tabs to tighten them with. Use them, that’s what they are for. Someone else posted that he almost twisted the cooling vents off trying to install them. Anyone with the least amount of mechanical skills knows NOT to twist a bulb with the vent portion. I highly recommend these if you want bright, white LED headlights.

    AWESOME!

Honestly I was pretty iffy when I purchased these after reading all the mixed reviews but I just install them and they're amazing. Simple plug and play install. Hardest part was pulling the headlight out lol.

You get what you pay for

I was thrilled to have LEDs replacing my halogens--especially at this price. I bought a set for my fogs lights, too. They look great installed. Problems: The LED will twist in the base of the lamp making them fiddly to install in the headlight housings. It feels like you might be able to twist the heatsink off of the lamp when you twist them into their sockets. There are no mounting tabs on the "driver" for the lights so you have to come up with a way to secure them. I think the connectors and driver could be a bit better made with a little more attention paid to water resistance and durability. My biggest complaint is that about 7 months in one of the lights has started to blink out and then back on, as others have described. It can go weeks without doing it and then it will do it a lot. Usually it is out for less than a minute but it shouldn't be going out at all. I have yet to talk to the manufacturer about warranty. I'm considering getting another set to have on hand but if I was going to pay twice the price, maybe I should have just bought a better quality set to begin with.

Looked great when they worked, but my driver side started flickering after about 15 weeks, then completely died a few weeks later. Still waiting to hear back from their warranty department..

    Looks Great, but Lacks Brightness

I have had these installed for 6 months. I've got two pros, and two cons: Pros- This is an ultra-white light, and the color perfectly matches my Rigid LED fog lights. I love the look of my truck with these lights installed. Also, the install is as easy as changing a light bulb, and the price isn't awful. Cons- First (and this might be a fluke, and might be because I grabbed onto the heat sink while installing the bulb, so don't let it deter you too much), one of my lights started cutting in and out after a couple months. It wasn't just a flicker; it would sometimes cut off for a second, then back on again, and sometimes would be out for minutes at a time. Sometimes, I'd go a week without this happening, but other times it would happen constantly during a long drive. It was maddening, and it pushed me to finally just pull into the nearest Autozone and purchase a Sylvania SilverStar Ultra bulb. I'm cheap, so I just bought one bulb to replace the defective LED one, and it showed me my second criticism: the incandescent bulb is significantly brighter--though not as white--as the Raxiom LED bulb. Did my truck look awesome with two functioning Raxiom headlight bulbs? Yes. Did I nearly hit a few deer because I was almost over-running my headlights at only 65 mph? Also yes. Would I recommend? No. I'll be replacing the remaining Raxiom bulb with a matching Sylvania bulb in the near future. If you want white, bright lights, just pony up the cash and buy projectors and an HID kit. I've got kids at home, so I'm sticking with the cheaper Sylvania bulbs.

    High Beams Suck

Low beams are bright but the high beams only add a little more light and its not high. The high beams add mostly light to the sides and bottom almost towards the fog lights.

    Bright, but...

I was really pumped to get these as I had read other reviews and was hoping for greatness. I installed them quickly but was disappointed immediately by the mounting base and bulb separating due to brittle plastic. Also the bases do not fit very well in the housings. The first time I installed them the light was badly scattered and there was less light on the road than the factory bulbs. I immediately removed them and replaced them with Silverstars. I had intended to return them but had to replace the marker lights at a later time, so I thought I would play with these again. I played with the bulb orientation and discovered the low beam LED has to face up and vertical in the reflector housing. This cleaned up the beam pattern and greatly improved down road light output. Since that I have been impressed as they are bright and do not scatter much light. But the fit and finish should be as such that I did not have to reorient the bulbs in the base to make them work. Hopefully they last awhile.

    Lots of light...everywhere

Definitely a lot brighter than the stock bulbs. Recently on a long highway trip. I can say that even at dusk the amount of light they throw onto highway signs ahead is impressive. However, after getting used to truly excellent lights on our Infiniti, these come up a bit short. No fault of the Raxiom bulbs at all, it's the fault of the factory housings. The Infiniti has a very controlled light pattern with a distinct horizontal cutoff so the light goes down the road, but is less prone to blinding oncoming cars. The F150 housing just kind of sprinkles the light everywhere including too high in my opinion. However, I'm behind the lights and not looking at them. Nonetheless, they're a huge improvement over the two 1906 era candles that came stock. The high beams don't throw much light further down the road, just more of filling in the already lit area.

I have had these for about 2 months. They look great and the low beam is much greater visibility then the stock ones. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because the High beams are not much brighter then the low beams. I left the low beams on most the time since I also installed the LED fog lights. Still would buy again due to the greater visibility and appearance.
