Hey, what's going on, guys? Adam here with AmericanMuscle.com. Today I'm bringing you a quick overview of the Raxiom Horizon LED tail lights in a clear red option, fitting all 2015 and newer F150s. In this video I'll be going over everything you can expect as far as functionality and styling out of the Raxiom Horizon tail lights, as well as the materials and construction. I'll even take you through the installation, which I'll tell you upfront will get a solid one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. So let's jump right into it.
So the Raxiom Horizon LED tail light option in the clear red is going to be for the 2015 and newer F150 owner out there looking to completely change the look of the rear-end of their rig by picking up something that's more attractive and completely redesigned when it comes to the tail lights. Now with this one, when you look at them straight on, you get sort of a tunnel effect, almost three-dimensional, which is definitely guaranteed to turn some heads.
Now with that tunnel effect I just mentioned in mind, when you look at these tail lights you'll notice there are two rectangular shapes here with high-powered LEDs inside, red colored, of course, given they are tail lights. Now the reason you get the tunnel effect is because there's like mirrors facing each other. So when you put mirrors together, of course, you get that never-ending tunnel effect, which is exactly what's happening here with these tail lights.
And when you look at these straight on, again, those high-powered LEDs are working together. And in the background you can obviously see a very mirrored chrome red finish with a clear lens. Some people, like myself, might think this is going a bit overboard, a little too flashy for your taste. If that is the case, there is a smoked option as well to tone that down and give it a more aggressive look instead of flashy. Overall there are two different options to fit your needs. Of course, this is going to cater to the guys out there looking to completely change your rear-end tail lights.
Now as far as the quality of the materials and construction goes, expect an OEM durable, reliable ABS plastic here, just like your stock tail lights. And just like your stock tail lights, you're getting that clear housing lens. Now, of course, if you go with the smoked option, you're going to get darker, more aggressive lens. Obviously, whichever fits your preference. Now, again, you're getting that red chrome background with this one. The same with the smoked option, only the lens will be darker. The wiring harness is already taken care of for you here guys, so all you'll have to do is a simple plug-and-play job. No splicing, cutting, or wiring is needed.
Now, in addition to that red, attractive background that's sure to be eye-catching, expect high-powered LEDs running down the side as well, which of course will work in conjunction with your break lights. Everything tied together into the wiring harness so no need for the wiring again there. Now, of course, moving onto the price tag here, if this is something that does peak your interest, expect to be spending just about $600. Definitely a little bit more of a pricey tag there, but, of course, you are completely redesigning the way the 2015 and newer tail lights look, getting that three-dimensional tunnel-like affect, which is something that some people may think is the coolest thing.
I also think it's a very cool design. I would definitely go with the smoked option there you can see on our sight as well instead of the red chrome. Obviously, whatever fits your preference, but the bang for your buck is definitely there. Moving along to the installation portion of the video, like I said in the beginning, this one is a direct plug-and-play install, something anybody can do with about 20 or 30 minutes in the driveway at home. The only tools you're going to need are a ratchet and a simple socket set.
So to kick things off, guys, of course you need to drop your tail gate, remove a couple of bolts holding on your factory tail lights, unplug the harness, and set those factory ones aside. Once you get those aside, pick up your Raxiom Horizon LED tail lights, plug in the harness like a direct plug-and-play, reinstall those factory hardware bolts, close up your tailgate, and you're good to go. Overall, again, 20 to 30 minutes in the driveway at home, definitely getting a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter.
Well, guys, just to wrap things up here, if you're the owner of a 2015 or newer F150 and you're looking for a way to completely change up the look of your rear end by picking up a set of after-market tail lights, completely redesigning that tail light look, you might want to check out the Raxiom Horizon LED tail lights available in your choice of the clear red or the smoked option, of course, available right here at AmericanMuscle.com.
