Merideth: So, if you are a fan of amber detailing when it comes to the headlights but you don't want to completely break the bank, these Raxiom LED Projector Headlights with the Amber Daytime Running Light, Black Housing, and a Clear Lens will be a great choice for your 2015 to 2017 F-150. Now, I would like to call out that these will only be compatible with those trucks that have factory halogen headlights. However, these are going to be a big improvement offering better visibility at night, a sleeker look than the plain Jane factory housing, and a more modernized appearance, especially with the amber daytime running light. Now, these will also be great if you're a fan of a more blacked-out look or a stealthy look when it comes to a set of headlights considering the all-black housing on the inside, but it's not gonna take away from any of your lighting performance in comparison to achieving that look with a smoked lens. Now, in getting into the build of the light, you can see that on the inside, you'll have a projector-style lens, which will offer a lot of distance for the LED as well as a more uniform beam pattern optimizing your lighting and optimizing your visibility ultimately. Now, you'll also get an H7-type low beam and an H1-type high beam pre-installed in the headlight while being completely plug-and-play, taking all the question out of install. Now this will also incorporate an amber LED lightbar bordering the outside of the headlight that will act as your daytime running light, offering a very sleek appearance to the front. Now, you'll also see some amber reflectors in here in the upper and lower corners, as well as putting the turn signal right in the middle. Now when talking about prices, a set will come in at roughly $1000. And it may seem like I'm contradicting myself when I say that these won't break the bank, but when it comes to this style of headlight with the amber daytime running light, you will be saving a little bit of cash compared to others like it. Now those crazier choices may just include a little bit more of an in-depth design like a quad LED projector setup rather than this dual one here that can range all the way up to $1800 for a set. Now, I will say, though, that even though you only are getting two here, that's not to say that this won't drastically increase your lighting performance with this set of headlights. Now, these will have a high-quality build and a fully LED build compared to some other less expensive choices that will integrate halogen lamps into the design in addition to the LEDs. Now, overall, if you want a good-looking amber daytime running light headlight that will offer a sophisticated look for the front end of your F-150, then this set is it.Now, install will be a two outta three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you about two hours to get the job done with some basic hand tools. And one of our guys in the shop is gonna show you how to get through that install step-by-step. So, that wraps it up for me. Let's go ahead and get into the install.Man: Tools required for this install include a ratchet, needle-nose pliers, a couple of different-sized clip remover tools, an extension, a T20 Torx bit, 7, 8, and 10-millimeter sockets, and a 3/8 to 1/4-inch adapter. What's up, guys? Today, we're gonna be installing a set of headlights on our F-150, so let's get started. So, our first step is gonna be to remove this plastic piece surrounding our headlights. So, to do that, we can come into our driver's side fender well and we have to remove these two seven-millimeter screws. So, I got a seven-millimeter socket on a ratchet to get these out. Now, coming back to the top of our headlight, we can remove this clip right here. So, I'll get the clip remover tool, and we can pop that out. Now with our clips and screws removed, we can go ahead and pull back on our headlight surround piece. We'll pop it out of its clips on this side and it'll come out just like that. So, now we can go ahead and remove our headlight bracket underneath of our headlight. We have three bolts on the front and three bolts on the side holding it in. This one right here is gonna be an 8-millimeter and the rest are 10-millimeters. So, I'll get my eight-millimeter socket. Let's get this first one out. And then we'll switch to our 10-mil socket for the rest of them. And now coming to the side, we can get our last three 10-millimeter bolts here. And now coming back to our fender liner, we have one last clip that's holding in our bracket here. So, we'll get a clip remover tool to pop that out. And now we can pull back to remove our bracket. So, now we're coming down in between the headlight and the grille. We have a bolt all the way tucked back in here. You're gonna need an extension for this. I've got a 6-inch extension with a 10-millimeter deep socket, and we're just gonna snake it up into there. Now coming back up top, we have these two last 10-millimeter bolts to remove, and then we can pull our headlight out. So, again, there with a 10-millimeter socket to take these out. So, now with all of the bolts holding our headlight in, we can go ahead and pull back with even pressure and remove our headlight. And then once we have that pulled out, we can push in on our tabs to disconnect our electrical harnesses. And once we have that removed on this side, we can do the same thing on the other side. So, now that we have our stock headlights removed, we can come into the engine bay, to the fuse box, which is gonna be on the passenger side right between the battery and the firewall, and we're gonna pull up on this tab here to remove our cover. And now we're gonna be removing the number 105 fuse, which is gonna be this fuse right here. You can also use the inside cover of your fuse box to locate your fuse, which will be right here to the corresponding 10 amp fuse. And then we can grab a pair of needle-nose pliers and pull that fuse out. And now once we have that out, we can go ahead and put in our fuse tap right into that same position. And now we can run our wires to our headlight buckets. So, now we can take the two other ends of our wiring harness. We're gonna be feeding them into the headlight buckets on each side. Now the shorter side's gonna go on the passenger side and then the longer side will move over to the driver's side.So now with our longer cord, we're gonna be running it underneath this radiator cover. We have a wiring harness that runs right along, so we're just gonna follow that harness. So, we'll come up through the top. We're gonna wanna go behind the shutter assembly behind the grille. And now we're just gonna make sure that we go underneath of our hood latch, and then we'll go right back in and come out on the same spot that we went in on the other side. And with that done, now we're ready to get our headlights installed on the truck. So, now we're gonna have to go ahead and take this bracket off our stock headlight and transfer it to our new one. We have three T20 Torx screws that we can remove and then we can transfer it over. And then we can take our ratchet with that T20 Torx bit to tighten these down. So, now we can reconnect all of our electrical harnesses and get our headlight into position. And now we have this little post up here that's gonna go into this hole to line everything up. Now we can install our lower bracket and then we can start our hardware. So, we'll start with our 8-millimeter bolt up front, and then we can get our 10-millimeters. And then we can take our 10-millimeter socket to tighten these three bolts down, and then we'll switch to our 8-millimeter for this guy. Now we can install our remaining three bolts. And then we can tighten those down using that same 10-millimeter socket. And then we can get our push clip that goes in the side here and pop that into place. Now we can reinstall our headlight trim piece, and then we'll pop our push clip in up top. And now coming back to our wheel well, we can reinstall our two seven-millimeter screws, and I'll tighten those down with our seven-millimeter socket. And then once we finish that, we can repeat the same process on the other side. So, that'll wrap up this review and install of the Raxiom LED Projector Headlights with LED Amber Daytime Running Lights and the Black Housing, Clear Lens for your 2015 to 2017 F-150 with the factory halogen headlights. Thank you for watching. And remember, for all things F-150, keep it right here at americantrucks.com.
