Hey, what's going on, guys? Adam here with AmericanMuscle.com and today I'm bringing you my detailed review of the Raptor Series four-inch OE Style Polished Stainless Steel Curved Oval Side Steps, fitting all 2015 and newer F-150s. So if you're the owner of a 2015 or newer F-150, and you're looking for a way to spice up the sides of your truck, or if you just wanna add some helping hands while you're hopping in and out of the truck, then you might be interested in the Raptor Series four-inch curved oval step bars available right here. So by adding the Raptor Series step bars to your F-150, you're really upgrading the appearance of the side of your truck and giving it more of a powerhouse Raptor impression. So these step bars from Raptor Series were manufactured out of a four-inch stainless steel tubing for added strength and durability, given a curved end design for some style, and completed in a high polished mirror finish to give it some added aggression as well. Now I can definitely tell you first hand that this is a very high quality construction, and you will definitely get a lot of bang for your buck, which I'll touch on in just a minute. Now obviously, first and foremost, a step bar's function is to help you get in and out of your truck in addition to adding some style. Now with that said, these step bars offer a four-inch wide stepping pad for superior grip in any weather condition so you don't have to worry about slipping. Now I do wanna point out that Raptor Series describes these as protection, as well as styling. Now I do think that they will protect you from bush and door dings in the parking lot, but I would not recommend relying on these for trail hazard protection, if you're hitting the off-roading scene. So, to further elaborate on the bang for your buck I mentioned earlier, this particular part is very reasonably priced considering the great quality stainless steel material, the protection it offers, and the aggression it offers, as well as the OE styling. Now, some of the other options on the market can range anywhere from the mid-100s to the mid-400s, and this particular option comes in just north of the $300 mark. So the installation for this product is extremely straightforward and I would definitely consider it another plus when you're shopping around. Now this product does use the factory mounting positions, and all of the hardware needed to get it mounted is included in the kit as well. Before you get started, you wanna have a couple of basic hand tools on deck, like a ratchet, a torque wrench, a 13-millimeter socket, and a 6-millimeter hex bit. So like I said, you'll be mounting the step bar directly onto the mounting studs already on your truck, which can be located on the interior of the rocker panel. Now a quick tip before we go any further, I would definitely recommend using the plastic washers that are included in the kit to separate the aluminum and steel so you won't have to worry about the contact for corrosion. You can start by positioning each bracket onto the mounting studs using three M-8 lock washers, flat washers, and hex head nuts per bracket. So next you'll be placing each step bar onto the mounting brackets, and make sure you grab the right one because they are marked for the driver and passenger sides specifically. So next you'll be placing the step bar and the rubber gaskets onto the mounting positions. Make sure you grab the right one, because they are marked to driver and passenger side. So you'll install the step bar onto each mounting bracket using two M-10 by 30-millimeter button head bolts and two M-10 lock washers and flat washers. You want to tighten them down so they're snug but you don't want to tighten them just yet. Now you'll repeat the same process for the other side of the vehicle without tightening everything down just yet. Once everything is in place, you can begin tightening all the bolts and torque them down to spec at 15 to 20 foot pounds. Now once everything is said and done you're look at spending about two hours from start to finish on the install, and I would definitely give this a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter since it's something anybody can do in their driveway at home with the proper tools. Just to quickly wrap things up guys, if you're the owner of a 2015 or newer F-150 and you're looking for an affordable way to help you get in and out of your truck, add some beefy styling to the sides and even protection, then you might wanna check out the Raptor Series four-inch OE Style Polished Stainless Steel Curved Oval Side Steps available right here at AmericanMuscle.com.
