How to Install Putco Luminix LED Fog Lights - Pair on your Silverado

Please read all instructions before installation and to check to see that all parts are included.


Before installation verify that all contents listed in Table 1.0 are included in your kit


Fog Lamp Removal

1. From the backside of the bumper remove the bumper support brace on both sides of the vehicle using a 15mm wrench (3 bolts in total per side). Set brace aside, noting the right from the left and keeping bolts separated. Refer to Figure 1.

2. Unplug factory wiring harness from fog lamps by pushing tab and pulling back.

3. From the backside of the bumper remove the bumper support bracket on both sides of the vehicle using a 15mm wrench (6 per side, 12 total). Refer to Figure 1 and 2 for locations.


4. Remove Support bracket/fog lamp assembly from the underside of the vehicle. Refer to Figure 2.


5. Remove two bolts that hold on the plastic cover with a 7 mm wrench. Refer to Figure 3 for Locations.


6. With the front cover removed the fog lamp can be removed from the front side. Use a Phillips screwdriver to push the fog lamp housing mounts out of the retaining clips. Refer to Figure 4.


Fog lamp Installation

1. From the front of the bumper bracket assemble set the corresponding fog lamp into the housing. Ensure drivers side fog lamp matches drivers side housing. Refer to figure 5.


2. Reinstall the front plastic cover and tighten two 7mm bolts. Refer to figure 6.


3. Connect factory harness to fog lamps before reassembly. Check that the connectors are fully seated and cannot be pulled apart easily.

4. Turn on Putco fog lamps to ensure everything is working properly.

5. Repeat steps 1 - 4 in reverse order to reinstall fog lamp housing assembly. Ensure all bolts are torqued to factory specifications (15mm bolts torque to 35 ft lbs.)
