This rear kit features rotors and pads designed to OE specifications, ensuring a more user-friendly install. More importantly, this kit comes with engineered features that work to improve your truck’s stopping power, creating a safer driving environment for you and your loved ones.
Hefty Cast Iron Rotors. This kit comes with a pair of rotors cast from premium iron, offering maximum durability. These raw castings are then precision-machined to exact tolerances, achieving superior balance and an OE fit when installed. After machining, these rotors then receive genuine silver-gray GEOMET coating to give these units exceptional rust protection and a sporty look.
Solid Rotor Face with Internal Vents. Apart from their OE specifications, these rotors feature a solid and extremely flat rotor face to offer excellent pad-to-rotor face contact, ensuring consistent braking. Moreover, the internal vents are designed to more efficiently provide heat dissipation, further improving performance.
Specialized Z17 Carbon-Fiber Ceramic Brake Pads. This kit also offers a set of Z17 brake pads equipped with a novel carbon-fiber ceramic braking compound. This uniquely formulated compound is engineered for an exceptional bite as well as improved heat resistance compared to stock. The result is reliable – and exceptional – braking in all everyday driving situations.
Low Dust and Noise. Not only does the pads’ ceramic braking compound offer more consistent braking, but these also produce low levels of dust, minimizing the need for constant cleaning of your wheels. These pads also feature an OE-style chamfered and slotted design. This design when combined with the pad backing plates’ twin layers of rubberized shims gives you significantly lower noise levels for quieter braking.
User-Friendly Install Procedure. This rear brake rotor and pad kit is installed onto your truck’s factory rotor and pad locations. No additional modifications to your braking system are necessary before installation. That being said, you will a bottle or two of DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid, as well as high-temperature brake pad lubricant.
