This axle shaft features heat-treated steel construction that’s actually rated to be up to 35% stronger than your old stock equivalent. For demanding applications such off-roading, towing, and hauling, you don’t need to worry about this axle shaft giving out on you. It can withstand the demanding loads that would otherwise cripple your stock axle shaft.

    Heavy-Duty Materials with Hi-Tech Manufacturing. Nitro Gear & Axle is dedicated to giving customers aftermarket products that surpass even OE standards. And they did exactly that when they created the Nitro Gear & Axle 9.75 in. Rear 6-Lug Axle Shaft. This axle shaft is CNC-machined using 1541H steel alloy. This steel is heat-treated to increase its tensile strength and rigidity. Typical stock axle shaft may have a rating of approximately 120,000 psi but the Nitro axle shaft rates higher with up to 181,000 psi. And with the CNC-machining following OE specifications to a tee, fitment issues are avoided for optimal operation.

    Professional Installation Ideal. Installing the Nitro Gear & Axle 9.75 in. Rear 6-Lug Axle Shaft is not a job for beginners. You would need specialized equipment like a press for a successful installation and to prevent costly installation issues. These are the reasons why a professional installation is recommended.
