This is a tougher version of your stock axle shaft and can outlast it with its heat-treated steel construction. In fact, this axle shaft is rated to be up to 35% stronger than the stock equivalent. You can conquer trails with peace of mind knowing you have this tough axle shaft on your truck.
State-of-the-Art Manufacturing. Nitro Gear & Axle manufactured their axle shaft using top quality materials and the latest manufacturing technology. Each axle shaft is CNC-machined from a 1541H-grade steel alloy that has been heat treated for increased strength. Compared to typical axle shafts with a mere 120,000-psi tensile strength rating, the Nitro axle shaft rates higher with up to 181,000 psi.
Professional Installation Preferred. To ensure a successful installation, it’s recommended to have your Nitro Gear & Axle 9.75 in. Rear 6-Lug Axle Shaft professionally installed. The assembly of your new axle shaft, though it’s a direct replacement, is not cut and dried. You will need specialized equipment and additional components to complete the installation.
