Heavy-Duty Axles for Demanding Applications. Whether you’re replacing your broken axle shaft or upgrading, the Nitro Gear & Axle 9.75 in. Rear 5-Lug Dual-Drilled Axle Shaft is an excellent choice. It’s rated to be up to 35% stronger than stock – perfect for off-roading and more demanding driving applications. In addition, its dual-drilled design allows the use of both a 12 mm and a 14 mm set of studs. This makes it a more versatile option for a lot of Ford truck owners.

Surpasses OE Quality. While the Nitro Gear & Axle Dual-Drilled Axle Shaft follows the OE specifications for fitment, it definitely surpasses stock in terms of quality. This Nitro Axle Shaft is made from a stronger 1541H steel alloy with a tensile strength of up to 181,000 psi. With heat-treatment, the steel increases rigidity and strength making it the perfect off-road axle shaft replacement.

Professional Installation Suggested. Installing the Nitro Gear & Axle Dual-Drilled Axle Shaft will require special tools and equipment. This is why it’s recommended that you ask your mechanic to do the installation for you. You may also consider purchasing the other components required for a full-on rear axle shaft assembly that may include bearings and races.
