Description
Aggressive Power and Performance. Bring out your Ford F-150’s full potential with this 5.71 ratio Nitro Gear & Axle 8.8 in. Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Kit. It has been designed to more efficiently and smoothly transfer power from the truck’s engine to the wheels. This increases torque and delivers quicker acceleration.
Cutting-Edge Construction. These Ring and Pinion gears are built using durable 8620 steel which has been CNC-cut using a computer controlled technology. And to ensure reliability, proper fitment and smooth operation, these gears have been heat treated, CNC triple lapped, and Rockwell tested.
Recommended Upgrade. Modifications to the gear ratio of your Ford F-150’s differential may show inaccuracies on the speedometer display. This can be easily fixed with a handheld tuner (not included).
Note on Installation. Installing these Ring and Pinion gears requires precision. That’s why we highly recommend the help of a highly qualified professional for trouble-free installation.
Limited 2-Year Warranty. This Ring and Pinion gear kit is covered by Nitro Gear & Axle’s two-year warranty against defects in structural workmanship. Some exclusions may apply.
Application. This 5.71 ratio Nitro Gear & Axle 8.8 in. Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Kit is specifically designed for 1997-2009 Ford F-150s with an 8.8" (10 bolt) rear suspension differential. Installers recommend using a master bearing kit, especially on high mileage trucks.
Please Note. Contact your local Ford dealer to find out if your F-150 is designed with an 8.8 in. (10 bolt) or a 9.75 in. (12 bolt) differential.
Technical Note. It is required to match both the front and rear gear ratios on Ford F-150 four-wheel-drive models to prevent damage to both the transfer case and transmission. It is recommended to work with a qualified shop that you trust.
