      Ideal for Performance and Off-Road Trucks. The Motive Performance 8.5 in. & 8.6 in. Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Kit with 4.88 gear ratio is designed to improve your truck’s performance. It features high-quality, heavy-duty gears that have been engineered to meet and exceed OEM specifications.

      8620 Steel Construction. The 8.5 in. & 8.6 in. Rear Ring Gear and Pinion are precision-machined from first-run, high-grade 8620 steel. This provides the gears with outstanding strength and durability to withstand the stresses of high-performance applications. Furthermore, a computer-controlled heat-treatment process improves the hardness to ensure that the gears are long-wearing.

      Recommended Upgrade. The kit only contains the ring gear and pinion and purchasing a Motive Gear Differential Install Kit is highly recommended.

      Professional Installation Recommended. Changing the differential gears require expertise and specialist equipment. For the best results, installation by a professional mechanic is highly recommended.

      2-Years or 100,000 Miles Warranty. The 8.5 in. & 8.6 in. Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Kit is warranted to be free of defects in materials or workmanship. Exclusions will apply.
