It’s got a stronger core strength that’s essential for withstanding the heavier loads and stress. Each Motive gear is finely machined to meet exact OEM specifications. It allows for prescribed backlash, bearing pre-load, and clearance for optimal performance.

      Speedometer Recalibration After Install. Please note that changing the gear ratios of your truck would require a speedometer update. Retune your onboard computer with a handheld tuner or a recalibration device of your choice. This will ensure accurate speedometer readings after installation of new gears.

      Installation Details. The kit includes a comprehensive guide to help with the installation. However, it’s highly recommended that you leave the installation of the Motive Performance Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Kit to your trusted mechanic to prevent damages and issues.       Technical Note. For Chevy Silverado 4WD models, it’s essential to keep the gear ratios on the front and back axle identical or close to identical. A severe difference in gear ratios while 4-wheel driving could cause damages to your drivetrain.
