You'll notice a big improvement in low end torque and quicker acceleration when you upgrade to a set of steeper ratio gears. IFS Front Ring and Pinions also facilitate positive power transmission at any angle without slips—making for smooth, effortless driving on and off-road.

Each set of IFS Front Ring and Pinion Gear is manufactured from top-grade 8620 steel that has been CNC-cut from start to finish, heat treated, and double-lap finished for a precise fit. All Motive Gear products have undergone a strict quality assurance process using the latest manufacturing equipment in their in-house lab to ensure that these gears are built to last.
Recommended Upgrade. 2010 Silverado 1500 vehicles with 8.25" IFS Front ends and factory 3.98 gear will need a new carrier when changing ratio.
Professional Installation Recommended. Motive IFS Ring and Pinion Gears can be tricky to install. It is best to have mechanical experience or get professional help when installing differential gears, and follow the included instructions.
Two Year Manufacturer's Warranty. The Motive 5.13 Ring and Pinion Gear set comes with a two-year warranty or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first) for any defects in material and workmanship. Please refer to the manufacturer's warranty for more details. Some exclusions may apply.
Application. This Motive Gear 5.13 Ring and Pinion set fits any Silverado 1500 model manufactured from 2007 to 20013. A master bearing kit is recommended by most installers, especially on high mileage vehicles.
