      Description

      Upgrade Your Wheel Performance. Motive's Differential 2.73 Ring and Pinion Gear Set represents the best in hypoid gear set technology. Improve your Silverado's drivability by upgrading to a stock differential gear set. These OEM gear sets are engineered to keep gear noise or whine to a minimum. Aside from the benefits of high reduction ratios, this is one of the best mechanisms for delivering power quietly and reliably.

      Heavy-Duty Premium Construction. Motive Differential 2.73 Rear Ring and Pinion Gears are CNC-cut from superior-grade 8620 steel using state-of-the-art equipment and manufacturing techniques. Each product goes through rigid quality control processes by in-house engineers, so you know you are getting a top quality product that will last.

      Recommended Upgrade. Please keep in mind that when changing the gear ratio of your Silverado 1500's differential, the calibration of your speedometer will no longer be precise and will display the incorrect speed. This can be easily fixed with a Handheld Tuner, which is sold separately.

      Professional Installation Recommended. Installing Differential Ring and Pinion Gears can be a painstaking and intricate process. As such, professional help or mechanical experience is highly recommended. Follow the included step-by-step instructions for best results.

      1-Year Manufacturer's Warranty. Motive Gear is very confident in the quality of their products that they are backed with a 12-month or 50,000 miles (whichever comes first) warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Please see manufacturer's warranty for details. Some exclusions may apply.

      Application. The 2.73 ratio Motive Gear Rear Ring and Pinion Gear set will fit all 2007 to 2013 Silverado 1500 models equipped with either an 8.5" or 8.6" (10 bolt) independent front suspension differential. A master bearing kit is recommended by most installers, especially on high mileage vehicles.

      Please Note. If you are unsure if your Silverado 1500 has an 8.5"/8.6" (10 bolt) differential, please check with your local General Motors dealer to determine what gear is in your truck.

      Technical Note. Ring and Pinion gear set installation costs may vary, but a good rule of thumb is between $250 and $300. Choose a reliable shop that you trust for installation.
