You’ll get the top highway speeds and better fuel economy on larger wheels.

      Durable and Reliable Gears. Motive has brought their vast experience on the tracks when they developed their line of aftermarket ring and pinion gears. Indeed, the Motive 8.25 in. IFS Front Ring Gear and Pinion Kit is made of forged 8620-grade steel, a triple alloy steel that features a tougher core when compared to ordinary metals used in factory gears. Each Motive gear is machined to a fine detail following OEM specifications. This attention to detail allows for proper clearances and backlash required for the gears to rotate optimally.

      Speedometer Reprogramming. If re-gearing includes a change of gear ratio, don’t forget to update your truck’s onboard computer. Speedometer readings get thrown off with a change in RPMs. Correct it with a tuner or a recalibration device.

      Auto Shop Installation Recommended. Installing the Motive Gear and Pinion Kit is a major modification of your differential. It’s essential to leave the installation to your trusted auto shop to prevent damages and installation issues that could void your warranty.

      1-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty Policy. The Motive 8.25 in. IFS Front Ring Gear and Pinion Kit with 4.30 Gears is covered by a comprehensive 1-year/50,000-mile warranty. The warranty includes damages from material to workmanship issues. Keep in mind that incidental damages are not covered.       Technical Note. Please note that Chevy Silverado 4WD models would need to have matching or close to identical gear ratios on the front and back axle. Engaging the 4WD feature with mismatched RPMs will result in catastrophic damages to your drivetrain parts.
