      Description

      SAFETY RECOVERY ACCESSORY. The MAXTRAX Rope Dampener is designed to enhance safety during vehicle recovery by reducing the recoil impact on kinetic, static, or winch ropes if they break under tension. Positioned near the Fuse Shackle in the MAXTRAX Recovery System, it is loaded with weighted material to act as a buffer, minimizing risk to users and bystanders. This accessory is a critical component for controlled, safer off-road recoveries.

      CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE. The rope dampener features dual sleeves designed to be filled with weighted materials such as sand or water bottles. The sleeves are secured by folding the edges twice and clipping them to ensure the contents remain inside. Its durable fabric construction is optimized to withstand rough conditions while maintaining flexibility and effectiveness in dampening kinetic energy.

      INSTALLATION. Installation is straightforward and requires no special tools or drilling. The dampener attaches easily by feeding a MAXTRAX Fuse Shackle through its loop and the recovery rope loop, then tightening the shackle over the knot at a 90-degree angle to secure it in place.
