Justin: The MagnaFlow Street Series Dual Exhaust with Black Tips will be a great option for the '21 and newer 5-liter truck owners looking for a moderate increase in sound, along with a very cool look. Now, the USA-made MagnaFlow here will pack a full stainless steel build, along with those black powder-coated tips and the dual rear exit configuration, all for right around that $1,200 price point. Now this is a bolt-on job, guys. Gonna get a solid two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, maybe take you a couple of hours to complete from start to finish, as we'll show you later in the video. But getting into the sound clips, you guys heard at the start of the video, and I'd say the MagnaFlow does a great job of delivering a very subtle increase in volume over the stock exhaust, but one that still maintains a nice, deep tone. And I will say MagnaFlow is one of the best at delivering that deep tone that a lot of truck owners are really after. So, breaking out my wake-the-neighbors scale, I have the Street Series coming in at a pretty soft three out of five on my one-to-five, or one-to-wake-the-neighbors scale. Now, me, personally, I really enjoy the combination of mild volume and the deep tone, but, if you're looking for something that will turn every head on the block, there will certainly be louder systems out there. But with sound out of the way, let's get into the rest of the system. And again, the Street System is packing that 100% made-in-the-USA stainless steel build, guys. Now, MagnaFlow doesn't specify exactly on the site what kind of stainless, but I can tell you they primarily use 409-grade stainless for their systems, which is gonna do a great job of resisting that corrosion, but without the crazy high price tag of some of your more expensive 304-grade systems. Now, that 409-grade stainless can be found in things like your little bit of 3-inch mandrel-bent tubing here. The rest of it's 2.5-inch mandrel-bent tubing. You get the straight-through Street Series muffler here. But where things get a bit interesting with this particular system is the tips themselves. Now, as you can see, this system does deliver that black powder coat to, I would say, the actual back portion of the exhaust, which will help deliver a very stealthy look, along with adding a little bit more protection to that already stout 409-grade stainless. Finally, guys, everything is gonna exit out of the dual 4-inch tips here, which is certainly a great look on a truck like the F-150.Now, one of the things I do really enjoy most about MagnaFlow as a company is that they offer a number of different options out there that really give truck owners some different choices when it comes down to how you want this thing to look. Now, for instance, we have the dual rear exit system here on the table, but they also offer things in a traditional polished tip, instead of the black. You got your dual side exit, pre-tire cab exits, and even more, guys. So, be sure to check out the entire selection from MagnaFlow back on the site if you haven't done so already. And hey, while you're there, check out some of the customer-submitted images and reviews of the MagnaFlow, just to get a better sense of what this thing's all about. But now let's shift gears and get into the installation, and I'm happy to say that the Street Series will feature a 100% bolt-on install, with no cutting or modification needed. But, since all of your work is done underneath the truck, the site is automatically gonna kick things up to a middle-of-the-road two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. Call it a couple of hours or so to complete from start to finish. But now, to give you a better idea of just how things will go down at home, check out our detailed walkthrough and tool breakdown.Male Speaker 1: Tools required for this install include an impact gun, a ratchet, an exhaust hanger remover tool, 13 and 15-millimeter wrenches, a can of penetrating lubricant, an extension, 13, 15, and 17-millimeter sockets, as well as a pole jack or a jack stand. What's up guys? Today I'm gonna show you how to install an exhaust on our F-150. First, we're gonna watch a quick little uninstall video, and then I'll meet you right back here for the install.Male Speaker 2: Start by grabbing your 13-millimeter socket and undoing the two bolts at the flange.Next, take your exhaust hanger removal tool, and get the muffler out of the isolator.Next, we're gonna slide our exhaust towards the tail end, so we can get them out of the two additional hangers, and then we're gonna drop the whole exhaust as a full. I grabbed a buddy to help me out with that.Male Speaker 1: So, now that we have our exhaust off the truck, we can go ahead and disconnect our front pipe. Now, we have a 15-millimeter nut on our clamp that we can loosen up, and then we have this tab that we're gonna have to twist on our front pipe, and we can slide that out.So, now we can install our front pipe. I've got a pole jack, here just to support the weight of the muffler. So, we can raise it up into position. Then we can get our bolt started through. Now we'll do the same thing on the other side. And now we can go ahead and tighten up our bolts. Now, the factory is gonna be a 17-millimeter bolt that'll thread into the other side flange. Our hardware was replaced, so we have a 17-millimeter bolt and a 15-millimeter nut on the back. So, I'm gonna get in there with our 17-millimeter socket and 15-millimeter wrench, and we'll go back and forth, tightening these down with even pressure. So, now we can take our extension pipe. We'll feed it through our hanger, and into our factory front pipe. And then we can take a 15-millimeter socket on the impact gun to tighten down our clamp. So, now we can grab our muffler, as well as a 3-inch clamp, slide our clamp over the tip, and then we're gonna be sliding it into our middle hanger, and then into our extension pipe. So, now we can slide our clamp into position, and grab our 15-millimeter socket, to loosely tighten this clamp down. And we're gonna leave this a little bit loose until the end, when we make our final adjustments, and then we can tighten all of our clamps down. So, now we can install our hangers. So, it's gonna be right behind the frame rail mount for the rear bumper. We have this little hole. So, we have a bracket. That's gonna go on the backside. And then our hanger will go on the front, and then we'll slide our bolt with a washer through the front side, and we'll get our nut on the backside. Then we can grab our other nut with our washer. And then we can take a 13-millimeter socket and a 13-millimeter wrench to tighten these down. And then we can repeat that same process on the other side. So, now we can take our driver side over-axle pipe. That's gonna be going into the left side of our muffler outlet, and then we can take this over the axle. We'll slide our clamp over the edge, and get that into our muffler. Then we can take our 15-millimeter socket to loosely tighten this clamp down. Now we can install our rubber isolator onto the hanger that we previously installed. I've got some penetrating lubricant on here, just to make it a little bit easier for us. And then we'll do that same thing on our other side hanger. So now we can take our driver side tailpipe. We'll get it slid into the hanger first, and then we'll take one of our clamps and slide it over the edge, and then up into our over-axle pipe. Then we can get our clamp into position and loosely tighten that down. So, now we can install our passenger side over-axle pipe. So, we'll take another one of our clamps, slide that over the edge, and then slide this into the back of our muffler. Now we can move our clamp into position, and loosely tighten that down.So now lastly, we can install our passenger side tailpipe. So, we'll get this started into our hanger first. And then we can install another one of our clamps, and get this lined up with our over-axle pipe. And then we'll just get our clamp into position, and loosely tighten that down with a 15-millimeter socket. So now, once we have our exhaust aligned and in a place that we like it, we can go ahead and tighten everything down, starting from the front flange and moving our way back. Now we can get the two clamps on either end of our extension pipe. And now we can tighten our two clamps on our muffler outlet, and our two clamps on our tailpipes. So, that'll wrap up this review and install of the MagnaFlow Street Series Dual Exhaust System with Black Tips and Rear Exit, for your 2021 to current 5.0-liter F-150. Thank you for watching, and remember, for all things F-150, keep it right here at AmericanTrucks.com.
