      Video Review & Installation

Hey, guys, it's Sara with, and today, we have a review and install of these smoked LED tail lights, fitting your '07 through '13 Chevy Silverado 1500s. These tail lights feature smoked lenses with gloss black housings, bringing that blacked-out style to your Silverado. The red fiber optic LEDs of these tail lights are going to be much brighter and last longer than the traditional bulbs found in your stock tail lights. These tail lights are sold as a pair and are SAE and DOT-approved.These tail lights are perfect for the truck owner who wants to upgrade the look and functionality of their tail lights while saving some money over the more pricey LED options and the OE replacements. Coming in at around $150, these are the most budget-friendly option for LED tail lights for your Silverado.I'm going to give this install one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. It features direct plug-and-play installation and can be done within one hour. So, with that said, let's jump right into our install. For this install, you will need an impact gun and a Phillips head socket, or you can use a Phillips head screwdriver. All right. So, the first step in our install, with the tailgate down, is to remove the two Phillips head screws on the inside of your tail light with either a Phillips head screwdriver or a Phillips head socket. With the screws out, you can grab your headlight and pull backwards.Next step, you're going to twist and remove each of these bulbs out of the housing. Just be careful not to touch the bulb itself while you're doing this. If you're worried, you can also wear gloves. So, now that our harness is free of the tail light, we do have to remove the bulbs on these bottom two connectors. We're going to leave this top one in. So, just grabbing back firmly on the bottom of the bulb, pull it out. And at this point, we can mount the resistor. You're just going to peel back on this double-side adhesive, and you can mount it wherever you'd like in this area. I'm going to go right inside here. Now you can grab your tail light and plug the resistor in. At this point, we can start to reconnect these connectors to our tail light, starting with the bulb on the very top, and then just twist to lock it in place.Next up, we're going to plug this connector into the bottom housing. This one should have yellow and black wires going to it. Now, at this point, we can tuck this wiring harness away, and we're going to aim for these two tabs to go back into their locations so we can slide our tail light back in. With our tabs in place, push the tail light back. And then, using the factory screws, line them up on the inside here and get them reinstalled. Now you can grab your Phillips head screwdriver and tighten these down. All right. So, now that we have our tail light installed, we can see it side-by-side with the factory tail light, really check out some of the similarities and differences. Now, the biggest difference is that our new tail light features LEDs as opposed to the factory bulbs, so they're going to be a bit brighter and last a little bit longer than those. Not to mention, because of the black housings and smoked lenses, they're going to give your truck a completely different look.Repeat that process on the other side. All right. That is going to do it for the review and install of our LED tail lights. Remember, for all things Silverado, keep it right here at
