It provides smooth launch capabilities for vehicles equipped with trans-brakes or power adders such as nitrous, superchargers, or turbos, making it essential for racing and high-performance street applications.
Construction and Appearance. Built using hand-crafted assembly techniques, this torque converter features a custom anti-balloon plate to prevent deformation under extreme pressure. The use of advanced spray welding technology increases the overall strength and durability, while heavy-duty Torrington bearings improve longevity. The unit’s stators have optimized flow vents to ensure superior cooling, presenting a robust and reliable build suited to intense performance demands.
Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill as it is designed to fit directly on compatible transmissions with no drilling necessary. It bolts onto the standard 10.75-inch bolt circle, making it a direct replacement for compatible GM 4L60E transmission setups.
Application. Designed to fit the 1999 to 2013 Silverado 1500. There are no noted exclusions or limitations within this vehicle range.
