This reduction in heat not only keeps your interior cool, it also helps your air-conditioning work more efficiently, potentially saving fuel. Additionally, this heat shield helps minimize internal noise by acting as a dampener.
Durable Build Quality. The Flowmaster 13-Inch Muffler Body Heat Shield is manufactured from high-grade aluminum for superior corrosion resistance. This muffler heat shield is pre-formed giving your muffler a professional look when installed. This muffler body heat shield is compatible with 40 Series mufflers but may also be compatible with oval mufflers that have a body thickness of 4 to 5 inches and dimensions of 10-inches wide x 13-inches long. Finally, this heat shield features a brushed natural finish.
Easy Install Procedure. The Flowmaster 13-Inch Muffler Body Heat Shield is easy to install. Just lay the heat shield across the muffler body on the side that faces the floorboards and secure with the included stainless steel muffler straps. No modifications to your vehicle or muffler assembly are needed and standard hand tools are all that are required for installation.
