Today I'm gonna be installing Flowmaster's Force II cat-back exhaust with the single side exit. The Force II exhaust system is a really good option if you're looking for a mild to intermediate increase in volume. It's perfect for those early morning starts or those long trips. I'm gonna be giving it two out of five on our loudness meter. It's gonna dump out right behind the rear tire for that classic look. Install is a simple bolt on that I'll be giving one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter, and expect it to take about two hours to finish. Just above 700 bucks is definitely towards the higher end of the spectrum for a stainless steel cat-back exhaust. But with a name like Flowmaster, you know you're getting quality materials that are gonna last the life of your truck. You could save a few bucks if you wanted to go with an aluminized steel, or there are some other stainless steel options available. The tools used in this install: an exhaust hanger removal tool, a ratchet, 10 millimeter socket, 13 millimeter socket, 15 millimeter socket. First, we have to uninstall our stock exhaust. Our first step is going to be to lubricate all the rubber hangers that are holding our stock exhaust in place. Next we're gonna loosen the clamp behind our catalytic converter here. We're gonna use a 13 millimeter socket. You're gonna use this clamp when we install our new exhaust. So keep it here. Just slide your clamp out of the way. And with the clamp removed, we can remove the entire exhaust in one piece with our exhaust hanger removal tool. Before you remove the last hanger, it's safe to have either a pole jack or someone there because the exhaust can fall and drop down a little bit. I'm gonna remove the exhaust in one piece. It's a lot easier to have someone there to help you out when you're removing it. Starting with the front of our exhaust, you could see here we have three inch mandrel-bent piping that goes throughout the system. This is gonna lead to our Super Series 50 muffler, which is gonna help with that intermediate increase in volume. It's about half the size of your stock one and then that's gonna lead to our over axle pipes here. You see on the stock we have a secondary muffler, which is totally removed for our Flowmaster system, which is gonna increase our volume. This leads to your four-inch polished Flowmaster tip that's gonna keep that shine throughout the life, especially important for the most visible part of the system. And when you compare that to the stock one, it starts to get pitted and corroded and even starts to rust over the years. The first step for our install is the installation of the inlet pipe. We're gonna put it on to our catalytic converter and install using the stock clamp we loosened before. Just wanna place it up onto the cat. Use the rubber hanger to hold it in place. Place your inlet pipe onto your catalytic converter. Slide down the clamp and then tighten the clamp using a 15 millimeter socket. Just tighten it so that it holds in place. We're gonna recheck all of our clamps at the end of the install. So now it's time to install the Super Series 50 muffler. There is an inlet side as well as an outlet side. They do look almost exactly the same. Just look for the stamped inlet marker on the one side. Take your three inch included clamp, slide it on to the inlet side, and then place that onto our inlet piece of the exhaust. Gonna slide it on all the way and then tighten using a 15 millimeter socket. Tighten so that it's secure, but we're gonna check all of the clamps at the end of the install. Now we can install our over axle pipe. First, take one of the three inch clamps, put it onto the outlet side of the muffler. Place your over axle pipe over your axle and then we're gonna place it into the rubber hangers to hold it in place. Slide it all the way in. With the over axle pipe in its hangers, we can now tighten the clamp with our 15 millimeter socket. Again, just tighten it so it's secure. Now we can install the tip. With our exhaust up and in place, we can now install our tip. You can place the tip as far in and out as you please. Once it's where you want it, we're going to tighten with our 10 millimeter socket. And with our tip installed, we can now check the length of our exhaust to make sure all of our clamps are tight and fitment is good. And we're gonna use a 15 millimeter socket for the rest of the clamps. That wraps up my review and install of Flowmaster's Force II cat-back exhaust with the single side exit.
