By getting rid of excess heat, this muffler heat shield not only helps keep your interior cool, but it also helps your air-conditioning work more efficiently, potentially saving fuel. Likewise, this heat shield acts as a dampener helping lower muffler noise.
Sturdy Build Quality. The Flowmaster 13-Inch Muffler Body Heat Shield is crafted from sturdy aluminum for excellent corrosion resistance. This muffler heat shield features a pre-formed design adding a professional look when installed on your muffler assembly. This muffler body heat shield can be used with 40 Series mufflers but may also be used with oval mufflers with a body thickness of 4 to 5 inches and dimensions of 10-inches wide x 13-inches long. Lastly, this heat shield features a brushed natural finish.
Fast Install Procedure. The Flowmaster 13-Inch Muffler Body Heat Shield is designed as a fast install assembly that requires no modifications to your vehicle or muffler. Simply lay the heat shield across the muffler body on the side that faces the floorboards and secure using the included stainless steel muffler straps. This heat shield needs just standard hand tools.
